House Bunnies?

Because their balls fall over their butt holes and they vapour lock.
No idea on what House Bunnies movie is.
Just hoping that this time next year, we can all be waiting for the release of the Gatch movie. Subtle hints of love, some angst and their overall looks intact... those are my wishes for the movie. The rest I can forgive/live through... if these stay in the movie.
Oh, and not all action.... must have story line behind it too.

What would be some of the things that we DON'T want int the movie?

One thing I wouldn't want to see is them making the film like the team has superpowers like the X-Men movies. They're just highly trained and good at what they do.

I agree. I remember, way back when Kevin Munroe was still on as director, they were saying that they would have special "powers" or something like that, which made me nervous.
Does powered exoskeletons count? Cause these guys use the suits to let them do stuff.

Oh, I can accept that their suits give them abilities, such as resistance to bullets or the ability to leap high, or glide in the air, but I want the team's fiighting skills and weapons abilities to be from their own training and talent, not because they're "super-human".
I agree with all the attributes already posted for the movie. Even the Ken/Jun hookup or love triangle. But that one only to a certain degree. I still like the fact that Ken and Jun never made an actual romantic connection and that just the overtones were there (ok, there in a huge way, but still...). Hey, just remember that I've always maintained that I'm not a 'shipper and that I just like the innuendo of it!!!!!!
<Hino ducks as all the Swannies start throwing their yo-yo's at her.>
What I don't want to see in the movie is the horrible, flat, non-descript animation techniques used in the OAV's... If I have to watch another Solid Gold Nambu, Boy Band Ken, or Over-inflated Barbie Doll Jun.... Blech!!
I would also hate to see them deviate too much from the original storyline and character development. I like the fact that the movie will be a "prequel", so I'd like all the characters to have their major personality flaws/attributes be at least starting to develop. Still not sure how they're "prequeling" this, since the team are only teenagers in the series, and the concept art we've seen seems to have them as teenagers... But either way, keep the individual character's personalities intact or in development of what they end up being.
I think I've echoed pretty much what everyone else said so for the rest I think I'll just say, "yeah! And everything else everyone else said!!"

Hi all!
I think something that most of you have been overlooking is the not-so-minor detail that Imagi has never said that their movie (Should it ever actually be produced) will be a prequel to the TV series. They've said that it will be essentially an origin story, but they've never said that it will be an origin that will lead into the events of the TV series.
It's more likely that they are starting at the beginning because they realize that most of their audience will be unfamiliar with the TV series, so starting at the beginning makes sense. I would not expect them to give any concern as to whether or not the beginning they come up with meshes in any way with the TV series.
It might seem harsh, but you're probably better off expecting this to be a complete break from the TV series and in a Gatchaman world all of its own. You'll likely be a lot less disappointed if you do.
James
True Tats, in mind I'm trying not to speculate to much of what it will eventually become.

A ragaholic Joe that is difficult to begin in the movie. The last thing we need is Joe after he came back as a cyborg.

Well they should put more info of Joe's past and they should add the original Gatchaman theme and the song that played at the end of the OVA when the team died.
I hope the focus isn't all about Joe in the movie really. I love the Condor but he's not the only one on the team and niether is Ken. I want a little bit more of Jun/Jinpei and Ryu in it. At least give Jun more of a history.

ITA Ebony! We just have to wait and see! As work on the movie is still way behind and nothing is established yet, including what we saw until now, there's still place for lots of changes in opinions and ideas and in the plot on the whole. We've only seen just bits and bobs until now which may reflect a wrong idea of what would be the final product! Each team member plays a significant part in the story and all of them deserve individual attention!

They could focus more on Gallactor soldiers commonly known as goons! Really they all deserved more respect for being the Ninja's kicking bags in every ep of the original series!
Second thing I wish is the mechas won't make me slap my forehead in "d'oh!" at the sight of them!
And if it's not too much, I'd wish a decently clad Gallactor captain of the week, that won't look like he just got out of bughouse!
I'm also positive they'll keep Joe's sarcasm.

Hopefully they realize that the market that will make or break them is the 25 -- 45 group, not the 13 -- 24 group that many aim for.
However, if they are smart they ought to be able to appease both by keeping the look and feel of the original, while modernizing it. Keep it fun, but not too campy, and make sure that the characters have character and are not just stereotypes.

After watching this video that somebody I'm subscribed to on YouTube uploaded today:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BITpzx_sZ5o
(I didn't even know he was a fan of the show too!), and hearing that hard rock cover of Larry Williams' Slow Down in the video, I think it would be cool if one of the songs on the soundtrack and in the movie was a brand new hard rock cover of that song by the band Airbourne. Alot of people have covered Slow Down (including The Beatles). I think AC/DC even covered it one time too. I could be wrong though. On a side note, the clips did not match the lyrics in the link I posted in this reply, but it fit with the pace though. Overall, I liked it.
