18 inches!!! WOW. We are only being told we will get up to 8 inches here. We are only getting the Northern edges of the storm, right now we are just getting light little flakes so I am not sure if we will get anywhere near the top amount predicted. Although we may have had an inch fall since this morning - hard to tell when the kids keep tromping it down every time they go out for recess. Wink

Sorry to hear about this! We got a couple of inches here yesterday, and when I was driving to class I saw a lot of people in the ditches. I feel really bad for them... unfortunately coming home at night was terrible and I was scared I was going to be in the ditch too... Scared

Glad you can stay warm and dry! Snow is fun to play in only...

I feel bad too when I see people off the road, but iI think that in bad weather, it's often not safe to stop (either you get stuck too or someone else hits you) -I try to tell myself that most people have cell phones or Onstar these days...

Thanks for the concern and well wishes CD, LB and Shamrokchick.

LB, once I get my piccies to photobucket, I took one with an extremely large snow hill. With the 13 inches that we got, a snow plow pushed a ton in one spot. If I was a kid, I think I would have built a snow fort, or at least tunnels through it.

LB, have you heard more of this new snow storm that this area is to be getting??? I keep hearing mixed messages, so I'm confused anymore.

CD, while the other day was a snow day, my company is changing are schedules all around, so now I'll have free time from my B/H to hopefully write!
