Ebony - I truly have enjoyed all of your fics. You do have a romantic nature that is after my own heart as well (even when that heart has to break sometimes). I read some of them before I joined this board - so that is what still makes me sort of "star struck" in that I actually "know" you (and springie, cloud, tj, hinotori . . . well, EVERYONE for that matter!!!).

Thank you for including me in that illustrius(sp) group Gogirl. But I really do not think I belong with such great writers.

Your writing is beautiful and I have loved the stories I have been able to find and read. I am ready to read more of them whenever you are ready to share them. I also think it takes a lot of courage to post fics and I admire you for that. You are very inspiring to me.

To sum it up, everybody can write, but not everyone can write something that is memorable and able to evoke emotions from its readers, so kudos to all great writers in this forum (TJ, Ebony, Springie, Hinotori, Madilayn, Cloud and a few others)

Yes, Clouddancer, you belong to that group.I loved your collaboration with TJ in "Dreams Can Come True". You should have written more.I will be waiting for more from you.

CD, you are a fantastic writer! You're writing is so visual, and the weaving of your stories is amazing! Your creativity and imagination for the AU is inspiring.

And thank you GG and Saturn! Before I joined the list and started writing/posting my fics, I felt the way you both do... I was taken with the "Gatch Fic All-Stars" (whom are many) and only wished I could tell stories the way they did. So to see that others now consider me part of that group is very exciting and touching. So thank you, girls. I feel that I just went full-circle. Huggles

Saturn - that is aptly put.

Hinotori - you mean to tell me that you have gone from star struck fic neophyte to goddess/muse in less then a year?! What an amazing journey. congratulations Huggles

There seems to be something very magic about this forum that is bringing so many people to find their voices as writers. I think there is true generosity here. (Or maybe it is just that TJ is onto something with that pokey pokey of hers?!)

Dear Hinotori,
If this can make you feel even better, just want you to know that whenever I feel stressed out from my workload, reading "All Shook Up" all over again is enough to bring sunshine into my day.

Dear GoGirl,
I remember you are working in Theater, right? So you must have lots of creative ideas waiting to be put into writing. This board could really use some new blood, and I am certain even TJ would love some competition,Wink2

So you go,girl!

You are included in that group of great writers Ebony.
TJ and Springie definitely. Maddy used to be in that group that I thought of as fantastic writers, the ones who I could never even think of writing like. But since she has written so little recently, I find myself comparing my writing to you three, and feel my stories lack the plot depth and twists of your stories.

Get writing everyone!!!

I love to see new people participating, that's what its all about. No new people the fandom slowly dies...

I was very involved in an area that didn't encourage new people to start up studios. They hated the competition and had a tendency to be rude and snub people they thought would "threaten their status. Or were not up to their standards...etc." I got along with them, (mainly because I deliberatly would go and talk to them at the fairs to let them know I existed. Most of them were twice my age. They thought I was to young to run a studio, so i eventually found out. I laughed and they got over it.) But I knew they felt threatened by a new studio. Those people are now suffering because of their attitude. The whole industry did eventually...

So from me... NEWBIE Authors welcome

The only way to learn is to start, make some mistakes and do it again, you get better each time...

Thank you everyone it is so nice to hear that I have been included in that "Gatch Fic All-Stars" group. Hopefully upon my return from the Con I will be about to take some of this energy and put it into more chapters of the fic I am writing. *fingers crossed*

But then all the plots and ideas that TJ and Springie were throwing around may interfer so much I may have problems.

Y'know I didn't think of it that way, but you're right!! I went from fanfic fan to fanfic inspirer in less than a year. Wow. I'm absolutely amazed...

It's nice to see I'm now able to inspire those in the same way TJ, et al, inspired me. Another area that has gone full circle.... I think I hear the opening strands of "Circle of Life"....

Awww, thank you Saturn! I'm sure TJ will love to hear this too! We had a blast writing it.... I'm so glad that you enjoy it and that you read it when you need an emotional boost! Huggles

Dear all,

You all are way too humble, the term "All Stars" does not give you all justice, it should be more like "Goddesses"

Which remind me, where are all the male fic writers?Would love to read some fics on Gatchaman from HIS point of view.

You know Saturn it seems to be a fact the most writers are female in fanfiction. I read some of Daniel Rush because it was a male writing for a change, and he did a good job of his female characters.

Men tend to write more just action than rounded POV.

But then some of my fave authors in Fantasy are female too...

Not at all, CD! In fact, of all of us, you have put the most thought into your stories/AU, perhaps because you have been working on it/living with it for so long. You KNOW that I LOVE your stories and want to see more!

More! More!!!!! Poke

(Okay, I know I promised I wouldn't poke you for more fics, but when you make statements like that I just have to. So now I'll go back to my previous 'no-poking' promise to you.)

Without plot ideas, you will never get started! But I agree that sometimes you can have too many. Hence, my fic ideas file.... Big Grin

Yup,you are absolutely right, a survey has proven that 80% of fan fiction writers are female, I guess that most male fans prefer to demonstrate their opinion about something in any other means except writing.

That explains why most man would only give a very short answer (either Yes or No) in a text message despite a very long romantic text message that we have written very passionately for him,Smile!

I have read some of Daniel Rush's works, and I really think that he has done a pretty good job too.

There are also many talented professional male authors out there, I mean, just look at Dan Brown, The Da Vinci Code is just phenomenal, well,at least for me, and don't even forget JRR Tolkien.

Dear TJ & Hinotori

You two have me cracking up like crazy when I first read that fic, and thank you for introducing me to the Partridge Family (totally have no idea about them at the first time). I am actually listening to some of their tunes in YouTube out of curiosity, Jackinbox
