Well, about a week ago, I was lifting one bale of straw off of another (I'm reseeding some sections of the lawn, and using straw as a cover) and suddenly there was this absolutely HUGE spider -I'm not normally freaked by spiders, but this one was practically Shelob! I am ashamed to admit that I shrieked like a total wuss, dropped the straw, and leaped backwards.

Where was Joe when I needed him?

Oops! I almost missed Owl Week! Luckily it's Saturday (or at least where I am it's Saturday!), so I still have a day or so to pay homage to our favorite helmsman!

Springie and LB, great pics of the Owl from both of you! Springie, I love how you made him muscular rather than "hefty". I always thought that's how the Owl should look..

And LB, your boat pic was great! I love the detail of the waves in the water, the grass in the background, and the sail of the boat.
