Looks like the Condor is winning...

Yes it does, but then look at the number of Condors on the Board as compared to Eagles.

Well, the Condor is now way ahead...
All the better for me, the less women I have to share the Eagle with...so I say let em fight over Condor. I"m happy with my Eagle...

That's fine... You all can fight over the Condor. As for me, I agree with Ebony.... The more there are after the Condor, the more Eagle there is for us!

I was completely in love with the Eagle as a pre-teen/teen. I was sort of a "loner" type too, so I really was fascinated by the opposite personality to mine. Mark (b/c I was a BotP kid) and his sense of honor, responsibility and nobleness was very attractive. But he also struggled so much and made sacrifices to "do the right thing." I fell in love with the idea of that struggle - classic hero trying to overcome tragic flaw of being human. Jason did not even register to me at the time.
In getting older, and then actually seeing Gatch instead of BotP, the choice gets much harder. Joe, despite his brahsness, is an emotional creature and therefore more accessible and therefore more appealing. Ken's remoteness makes him a challenge and I have not been able to decide yet if he can really overcome all of that repression, denial and subjugation to his rational side. The teenage me would have found the idea of saving Ken from himself and breaking him free of those bonds very exciting. My adult self has "been there/done that" and knows better now.
But I still went for the Eagle because in my deepest heart I am not ready to let all of my little girl dreams go.

Well said Gogirln and good look at the contrasts in them as people.
In some ways I feel for Ken, he's the leader. So being in that position he has to make the harder choices and bear the backlash if things go wrong. There is an old saying that 'Leadership is a lonely place to be at times.'
I don't see him as a weaker person than Joe, as he is often made out to be simply because he's not jump in and hit the red button without thinking. I see them as both strong men in contrasting ways.
Joe being second in command can afford to be a bit more brash. I still love him for it, it makes the contrast between them stand out more.
Yes, i must admit the Eagle still has me hooked, maybe because despite his control over his feelings, he really does have a good heart, and yearning to live a free life. I think he's got a deep side to him. He reads a lot, and he quotes from books some beautiful lines in some eps.
