See Gunnie power is not everything it takes skill, proper training, and a little bit of fighting smarts and you can take down the strongest of foes.

Oh, Gunnie, why do I have the feeling you'd have made the perfect goon fodder for Jun.....

Anyway, try with a (Bird) Missle! That should beat the swordman!

ROTFL!!! ...For a start, unless your Ken the Eagle you generally wouldn't get around flying through the air standing on top of a plane with a sword...

Ken used the hypershoot. It took down mechas!!! And he used his sword to operate it. So that sent a victory missile through that idea Gunnie!!!

In the first Starship Troopers film, there's a scene in the training camp where a instructor showed a trainee that using a knife can be a option to stop someone who just presses a button or a trigger by throwing a knife into the trrainee's hand.

Also, if you watch all the Rambo movies, especially the last 3, you will see John Rambo uses a bow against guns and helicoptors.

Does a lightsaber counts??? Hey Gunie, have you seen Star Wars? The Swordmen Jedi could pick ti pieces heavy weaponary and considerable numbers of droids. But, hey maybe Darthy will lend you his Star Destroyier!

So, guess again!

Gunnie, there are anti aircraft weapons for that F18 Honet of yours and there are anti tank weapons for that tank of yours.

Basically what I am saying is that any weapon or vehicle that is built, a solution will come along to tak out that weapon or vehicle.

And in the Peninsular War, Napoleon not only believed that his cannons would win, but a massive coloum of infantry would win agaisnt 2 lines of British infantry, but despite losing all the battles, they kept using the same tatics and Napoleon didn't think much tothe Baker rifles which were not only accurately and could be use to hit targets further away than muskets but were slow to use and again he was proved wrong.

Like Cep and everybody else is saying, it tatics, training and knowing the lay of the land that will win battles and wars and not neccessarily numbers and superior weapons.

Another example is at the battle of Assaye in India on September 23, 1803. Despite being outnumbered by inantry, cannon and cavalry, Sir Arthur Welleslay (later known as Duke Wellington) won.

The stats of the armies are shown below.

British and East Indian Company armies.

4,500 infantry, 2,000 cavalry and 20 cannons

Maratha Confederacy armiy

20,000 infantry, 30,000 cavalry and 100 cannon.

The casualties follows. British and East Indian Company armie only 438 killed and 1,156 wounded, while the Maratha Confedaracy army had 12,000 killed, 48,000 wounded and 98 cannons lost.

So your saying that the more technological you are then the more you are going to win? Or am I wrong on that part? That would still not be the case Gunnie just stop admit defeat. banana3 ALD

If you are saying that the more technology you have, then you will defeat your enemy, then please read this first part of my previous post shown above.

Ever since warfare has started, every time there are weapons, then there are counter measures. In the medival ages, a longbow man could take out a knight in full armour at a distance.

Any weapon or vehicle you come up with, then someone will come up with a counter measure to either confuse the weapon or technogolgy on a vehicle such as a plane or a way to take it out.

Take that Imperial or Super Star Destroyers in the Star Wars films. Too big and slow and the turbolaseers to take out capital ships like other Star Destroyers but are defenseless from small craft like the X, Y, B and A wing fighters which would do damage to it, though in saying that, the Star Destroyer does have a complement of TIE fighters to defend it from small craft.

Star Destroyer

Ah wait....So you say the more advanced technology you have , the highest chances you have to win. Usually this works in real wars! Assuming the opponent isn't a deadly species like Aliens! Which once again topples Gunnie's supposition!
