Not really. The coastal areas here are VERY cold, and the water temperature is so cold the surfers need wetsuits year round. That's SOuthern CA you're thinking of (near Los Angeles). We get to the beach about twice a year on vacation, which is why Daydream Island will be so much fun!

I like the Nth Coast of NSW, the beaches are long and white, and secluded. It was good when DH and I were teenagers to sneak of from parents...oooppssss TMI!

Actually, it's year-round. The temperatures at the coastal cities (even Santa Cruz, where the Beach Boys are from) are between 50F and 70F (10C to 22C) year-round, except during extreme heatwaves. You ALWAYS have to wear a wetsuit into the water around here.

That sounds like the South coast, towards Wollongong,(just out of Sydney) it's cold there all year round but in the heat of summer the cold water is beautiful...we went there last summer on a 40 degree celcius day, the water was freezing because it was like 15 degrees...but once you went numb it was beautiful and then you could lay on the beach to warm up again...

Love the pics Kimi... I think all of this beach talk is what prompted me into dreaming about living in Florida again. Also I argued with the person in my dream about a certain beach being in the area I lived at... Still I know I'm right, to bad the dreamed person didn't think so... 
me vrs them.... to bad it's myself... A little to much of 
maybe.. on my birthday...
I wish that was the case, I really had nothing like that to drink.

We used to have 3 pitbulls at one time...2 were white and the other was brindle much like Cloudie's dog. They loved to horse around in the snow, chasing each other, crashing into the fence, making a hell of a snarling, barking racket, scaring the hell out of the neighbours. They did sound like they were killing each other, but all you could see was snow flying everywhere, and every now and then this dark blur.
