Yeah, it would make my life easier.
I maintain, though, that if someone says, "Hey, I'd like a hug / to vent / to escape. You see, I've got this rock hanging over my head, and I don't know exactly how or where it's going to land," they should, eventually, let the rest of us know that it's landed. Not immediately, but sometime.
Yes, they're entitled to privacy, but they gave up some of it when they showed us the rock in the first place. They've got closure, why shouldn't they give it to us, too?
I'm not asking for full details, just, "It missed me! Wheee!" or "Yeah, it fell. Explosively. I won't be around much for a while." Something to let me know I can shift my prayers from "Please deflect it," to "Please help pick up the pieces."
I dunno. Maybe I invest too much of myself in my prayers for others.

I guess we all deal with bad news at times. Recently on the boards of a game I play someone told us about their lost neice. Asked everyone nearby to keep an eye out for her. In this case the news was bad and all our prayers did not bring her home safe.
In regards to hanging rocks, its always easier to focus on negative for some Its easier to criticise than to praise.
So I think rather than tell you sad things I will leave this message on this note When things get bad or things feel tough try to remember you have friends and family who care about you and will see you through.
Thankfully I am fortunate to be a member of two very wonderful caring places who show the best there is in humanity.
