Did it all come from one store, or did you purchase someone else's collection? Or something else? When I get things, I normally get 1 or 2 pieces at a time, and I've been collecting slowly over the years. I don't usually receive such a big box! |

Hola TJ!
Thank you so much and yes, you were right, I was a little girl opening Christmas presents (when actually they were my birthday's)
All the items were bought during the past few months in auctions. The agents keep them for a period until I decide to ship them. Normally, I do it three times a year.....including my Birthday and Christamas.
At the beginning I was collecting for the anime Candy Candy or Inuyasha, but now I'm concentrating in Gatchaman. So now that I'm hooked into the series, expect lots more from it!

Adriana, I've never heard of Candy Candy, but I love Inuyasha...I'm a bit of a Sango/Miroku 'shipper...though Gatch is still my first love...

Candy Candy anime is HUGE in Latin America, Spain, France, Italy, Russia and Greece but unfortunately, it didn't get any English dubbing so all of you missed the chance to enjoy it.
Look for it in the Internet and you would have and idea of this character. It's very much like Sandy Bell even though the later is a copy from Candy.
Inuyasha is another one of my favorites! Especially Sesshomaru.....uhhhh got many cels from him
Miroku and Sango are so so nice! She's better than Kikyo!
Posted by Springie on 24-09-2015 at 18:16:
Yeah, I'm not a big Kikyo fan, either...and Kagome is a little too immature. Sesshomaru's personality reminds me a bit of Joe now that I think of it! Haha...

Also, it's true that everything is relative. In your case, you have such important items that really reflects your passion for the series. Especially the way you display them, I hope one day I could do the same.....in the meantime, mine are in boxes

She's done Joe/Jason, EW should have pictures of him up somewhere since she won him.
That's the interesting thing, seeing what each person chooses to collect and focus on. I spent a while searching around for an affordable display case (I want to focus my spending on the collection, heh) because I didn't want everything packed away in boxes where I couldn't see it. You may not have IKEA stores where you are so this may not be an option for you, but my transparent case is an IKEA DETOLF unit. The black shelving is a fortunate accident of an experiment in that it's repurposed DVD shelving! It just happens to be exactly the right size to display a number of things still in boxes.

I'm a big Inuyasha fan too.
TJ: When you buy from the middleman sites that let you access auctions and online stores in Japan that don't typically ship outside the country, your purchases go to the middleman company's warehouse. Eventually when you're ready you ask them to ship everything in the warehouse at once to you. This is especially handy if you're like me and tend to get lots of tiny things that it would be ridiculous to pay to have shipped one at a time to Canada!

Hey, I get to act like the overly proud parent everybody ends up sitting next to on a really long flight! (You know, the parent who has taken at least 1,000,000 pictures before the kid is a month old...
)
Anyway, adriansg, here's the thread I posted as soon as my little Condor arrived:

This thread was posted by ED. She was detailing some of the work that was being put into making a little Swan and Swallow when a little drama happened...
http://gatchamania.net/thread.php?threadid=4794&sid=
And, finally, a little cuteness I posted before I had my foot surgery.

Oh, by the way --
¡Feliz cumpleaños tardÃo !

Me neither, I prefer Rin anytime!
Sesshomaru-Sama is so cool!.......yeah, from the outside he might look like Joe, but I think their personalities are totally different. Sesshomaru is very selfish unlike Joe who doesn't mind to give everything for the ones he loves.....don't you think so?

Hola Chris,
I totally agree with you! One day I would love to open a public place to display my collection......it would be focus mainly on other anime. In Mexico, not many people have the chance to purchase anything original, so it would be nice to share them.
Actually, here in Malaysia we have IKEA and I came across those cases. Maybe one day I would do so but becaus I'm trying to send everything to Mexico, in the meantime, all have to be stored away in boxes.
You were so lucky with the cases.....loved the way you display them. One day....one day.......
Which is your favorite Inuyasha character?

I was thinking they were alike with the gruff attitude...but yeah, definitely Joe is more generous than Sesshomaru...I agree!
And... Happy belated birthday!

Thank you so much Springie!!! So nice of you!
At the beginning when I first watched Inuyasha, I liked the main character. But slowly I realized that Sesshomaru was a more complex and interesting character.....definitely more than Inuyasha himself.
I heard his voice in English and it's very nice, but his voice in Spanish is amazing! So I made the point to meet the actor who gave his voice and now he's my friend jeje

Opening a little museum could be pretty fun.
I can see why things are in boxes if you're sending things to Mexico, are you planning to move back soon?
If they don't have IKEA in Mexico, you could probably drive up to the US and buy a case there. (You have to assemble them yourselves but the hubby did mine and he said it was quite easy.) Whether it's cost-effective to do something like that as opposed to finding something similar in Mexico is the question!
I'm torn between Inuyasha himself and Sesshomaru. Big brother has a hotness to him that I like, while Inuyasha himself is more innocent in some ways, which I also like. In general I'm in favor of cute/hot guys with animal teeth and ears so they both make me happy!

It's my dream to open a Museum for the Candy Candy anime. Of course I will have a little corner for Inuyasha and now for Gatchaman as well.....yuppii
For the moment, I'm quite contempt here in Malaysia but I know that one day I might go back home. In my case, Mexico City that it's quite far from USA.....the best option is flying. So I guess it would be better to find another alternative at home.
So you like both brothers, cool! At the beginning I like Inuyasha but eventually I realized that Sesshomaru was so so interesting!!! Uhhhhh.....he's so handsome and his personality very appealing! My favorite no doubt! That's why I got several cels from him jeje

The hubby has accused me of making a Gatch museum, hehe, though he's not bothered by my collecting as far as he's admitted.
