Garnet, I join the others in thanking you for sharing your story with us, and for giving a so real, and human, reason why one can be so attracted towards a certain character who others may have taken for granted!

You're right ... each human being is unique, and the extra qualities one can have to compensate for any disability make the person even more special and courageous!Huggles

Garnet, thanks for sharing something so personal.

It is also a good argument for why we each get attached to different characters.

While it is okay to ask why someone has chosen a particular character and allow them to share. No one should have to feel like they are on the defensive about their choice. The characters are as different as we are, so different people will be drawn to different characters for a variety of reasons.

I have a habit of choosing the oddest characters in a story to like.Smile I usually don't feel like I have to defend my choices, but I do usually get questions about them.

I like to know why people like or dislike a certain character. It often sheds new like on a character and shows us facets that we may never have seen.

I love to share my ensights into and discoveries about the characters I like in hopes that someone may see something new that they've never noticed before.
