turns out they only have like, three or four of birdgo's screencaps which is totally forgiveable. false alarm.

well, i'm a little particular about the screencap images hosted there because I'm the one that took the time to grab them off my DVDs and post them to the birdgo site.

a member of birdgo (may it rest in peace) can download every single blessed one of them to a hard drive and fondle them over and over again in the dead of night, but that does not mean i'm okay with that same member sticking them up on THEIR website without asking me (or Sam, but I'd still expect Sam to ask me behind the scenes) for specific permission to do so.

i had horrific visions of the entire screencap gallery living on this gatchonline site, which would have launched an email at the authoress to cease and desist immediatement. but like i said, its only a couple of shots and i don't mind that in the slightest. that being said, its still a difference of degree, not kind. the 'caps have the birdgo logo for reason after all.

lyon, if it is just a few images, it's possible that she also screen capped them. If it were more, I'd be worried. Unfortunately, there's not much one can do in such a situation except ask the offending party to remove the caps and hopes he/she agrees. Unless you take the time to frame or something, there is not much to prove it is your labor. The images still belong to Tatsunuko, etc.

Thanks SJ. The picture isn't showing up for me. All I see is the link, and I'll admit to speaking from memory.

Still the only thing that lyon really has the right to do, is request the person using it to take it down; if that's important. A disclaimer can also be added to the birdgo screencap page requesting that caps be used for personal use and anyone wanting to use them for other purposes ask permission.
