With BOTP, I remember being concerned about the Team's secret identities. They make so much of it in quite a few episodes! Of course, in BOTP they don't ahve the Dave the Hippie episode, but I do recall being very worried when I first saw the one about the guy with the eyepatch camera. Poor Princess, being exposed like that!

LOL... well, that was my child self, anyhow. I think I would have died at the time to know about poor Jason. Uh... Joe... well, you know. Wink

Isn't it funny what our childhood perspective of things were? I remember being upset whenever Jason challenged Mark's authority in different episodes. I thought that if they were a team, then everyone was suppose to be friends and get along! Argue2

You, Nuni, were influenced by the insidious monsters of the Action for Children's Television organization (obviously a Galactor affiliate), and the wimps who made children's television (pawns of Galactor). They wanted all the kiddies to be like Mark, and wanted to show that all good little boys and girls follow the rules slavishly. No disagreements, even on what color to paint the walls.

Insidious Galactor. Evil infiltrators of EVERYTHING. How else can you explain the popularity of bloviators, the Jerry Springer show, and 'reality' television?

I think I admired Jason every time he did that, or whenever Zark went on about how "hot headed" he was. In school I was the sort of kid who never made waves, and at home I pretty much had to take orders from my older siblings, but I guess I had a suppressed rebel within!

Ah, Nuni, it's a good thing you've never met my family. The only time we get along is when we argue. It shows that we are talking and maybe even listening. When we don't talk someone is pissed as hell and stay out of the way. So that aspect never bothered me, it was normal.

TJ, another great recap!

It's funny, in my family, harmony was of utmost importance. Even if it was just on the surface and we were steaming underneath. Not too healthy, huh? But that was the kind of people we were. As an adult, I still really hate conflict. But least I'm working on recognizing that some conflict is productive.

It's not at all good to bottle things up, and this I've learnt through experience as we also have that trend in our family! I've also learnt that when you finally come to the brink of explosion, after a long period of anxiety, even other things and words that you do not mean come out together with the other issues in store! So, nowadays, I tend to judge what things to say possibly at the right time without leaving so much of a gap ... trying not to hurt anyone in the process!

Man I've been slowly catching up and just watched this episode a little while ago. I think my favorite part is when they have the two Galactor guards just sitting at a console screen and they see the God Phoenix pass by.

"Huh? What was that? Was that the God Phoenix?"
"No it's scrap metal at the bottom of the sea"
"Oh yeah"

And that's that, they don't bother thinking of what ELSE it could be. I dunno, I just found it funny all around.

"Where do they FIND these people!?" -- Katse's lament.
