Its offically St Patty's day in Australia...

Aussie's will be out today drinking green beer and wearing funny green hats and beards.

We do celebrate St Patricks day, there'll be a lot of corporate lunches happening because you know it involves going to a pub...

What does that say about our culture...we drink way to much alcohol in this country.

haha i dont hink ive ever celebrated this holiday..... lol

i went to catholic school so we used to have St. Patrick's Day Mass, but thats about it!

Tidee so did my DH, he was taught by nun's in Primary/ High school until they started to retire from teaching. (And those ones still believed in the cane over the hand for bad boys. I can imagine Jason/Joe were red raw by the time they left Catholic school... all the trouble they got into. )

We have some Irish in the family so we celebrate it. (BIL) And my kids do too so it a bit of fun to dress them in green... and do Irish jiggs

very cool ebonyswanne! i wasnt taught by any nuns (thank God) the last one retired a few years before I went there.... phew!

I have a friend whos dad had to kneel on bottle caps when they misbehaved!! OMG

my hubby is Irish, and his whole family, but they dont really celebrate it!! (weird) we probably will when our child (or children someday) are older!! Big Grin

irish jigs? totally cool! my sister clebrated by 2 dollar beer night! lol shes not irish, we're Czech! LOL
