About that image of Ken: has someone at Imagi been reading too much Marvel lately? "Spider-Ken, Spider-Ken; does whatever a Spider-Ken does . . . ."

And hes poised to make a dramatic entrance.

Thanks for the screenshots, everyone!
I was just wondering, will the average person know what the Gatchaman movie is? With the title, they may think it is a single superhero (aka Iron Man, Spider-Man, etc.) But they shouldn't sell it like it's BOTP and then have people expect to see 7-Zark-7 and 1-Rover-1 in it.

Well, I had never heard of Iron Man and knew nothing about him (and I suspect there were many like me) but I still went and saw the movie (like many millions of others), and enjoyed it. Seeing the trailer, and reading good reviews of it were enough to get me interested.
I hope that something similar with the Gatch movie will do the trick for those who've never heard of Gatchaman!

Likely your right.
I'm still holding hope that it will be a good movie.

LB and EB I suspect you are both right. It depends how reviewers talk about the movie--you might get some who don't care and/or don't do their homework and just say "This is a BOTP movie." I hope people find out what Gatchaman actually is.

I thought the same thing Barrdwing! I was like "Is that Gatchaman, or Spider Man in Eagle's clothing??"

ITA, LB! I knew nothing about Iron Man, but went to see the movie once I heard so many people raving about it - and I loved it! I'm even looking forward to seeing the sequel.
I think one of the biggest things with the Gatch move (vs Iron Man) will be the fact that it's all CGI-based instead of live-action based. Even though there was a ton of CGI in Iron Man, the main characters, action, etc., was live-action. Everything in Gatch is CGI. If the story is told well, then it may go over well. If it ends up being like Speed Racer (more visual splash than concept dash), well, then the movie is probably going to end up like Speed Racer.
I'm not trying to be a downer here, just trying to keep my expectations in check. I'm keeping my official Movie Expectation status at "cautious optimism".
