Sandy Frank bought the rights of Gatchaman and had to change a lot of it because of the language and violence, which is why we have Zark in the first place and those repeated scens of Mark and Jason playing table tennis, Tiny stuffing his face with spaceburgers and swallowing the table tennis ball and Princess and Keyop (who couldn't talk probably) playing guitar and drums (probably palying the computer game Rock Band).

And is why Zoltar was a bloke with long blonde hair and had a sister instead of being a erm merged being of a brother and sister and were leading a evil civilization from anothe planet and was trying to take over Earth, which is why we have those really silly space travelling scenes.

When Ted Turner bought the rights of Gatchaman, he couldn't use any of BOTP names, places, etc, so had to rename everything and kept most of the orignal stuff but still had to edit the language and violence.

I agree but they had to do Keyop as some of the language of Jinpei wasn't excactly.....erm.....suitable at the time. But now, kids younger than 11 do use a few erm....4 letter words.

Yeah I got it from Gatch I episode 54 when Red Impulse dies, I just flipped the screen around and compressed it using paint.

Okay, you might be right... my head is swimming... Actually, I think they just reuse the shot later on, when Ken is sick with the Hypershoot illness. I've been working on my ER episode guide lately and looking at a LOT of Gatch II and F stuff!

They probably did since they tend to use the same screens for several episodes, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was in Gatch F also. I've never seen Gatch II or Gatch F so I don't know.

When I had a lot of free time on my hands I use to play around and make images on paint. It's not too hard, plus I'm Computer Science major which helps Smile

If they reused it, they forgot to update Ken to his Gatch II/F civvies!

Then again, there is also that Gatch II ep that has Joe remembering "dying" at Karakoram at the end of Gatch I, but he's shown lying on the ground in his Gatch II civvies.
