I think you're right. From what I can tell, they did wear a lot more disguises in Gatch II and Gatch F than they ever did in the first series (where all I can recall is Ken putting on sunglasses to impersonate a Galactor operative, Joe's disguise when he visits BC Island, and Jipei and Ryu's disguises in the episode with the stolen sugar substitute.)

Sadly, haven't watched a single episode of Gatch II and Gatch F. Makes me wonder if I'll actually ever get to watch them in this lifetime. Sad2
