That is because, the first series is the one most people recognize, or that more people have seen. (at least that has been my understanding while wandering these boards)

Hi all!

Well, the first series is the more iconic of the three, and for something brief like that, you're going to go for what's most familiar.

As for the other series never being represented, you might recall that for the Microman Tatsunoko Fight toys, the Ken figure came with both his Boomerang and the Gatchaman Fencer.

I thought it was funny that in this "Superheroes Never Pay" clip from Time Bokan, Jun and Jinpei are wearing their Gatch I civvies, and Ken, Joe and Ryu are wearing Gatch II civvies.

I don't blame Jun and Jinpei for sticking to their Gatch I clothes -the suspenders and cap that Jinpei had to wear in Gatch II, and the baggy shirt that Jun got were not improvements, in my opinion.
