Of course, there's also that incredible similarity between Nick Rhodes and Berg Katse.... what does that say about me????

ROFL 2 FB! Yes, I've been lusting after Katse like Amy lusts after Ego..... Lol2

Amy, I can tell you don't know much about 80s bands. Yes it's lipstick. It was the thing... even the metal bands wore lipstick back then. Wink In fact, I remember the day Nick Rhodes got married (a day of gloom in my house) and the big gossip was that he and his bride wore the same lipstick!

That is just too funny.... I had never heard that before, still I was only a part time Duran Duran person... Did have fanfics from back then too, had to do with me and some of my 80's hair bands... OH those were the days!!

Yep, and mostly because I was born at the end of them. And rock bands aren't on the interest list of a toddler

Ahhh the 80's.

Big hair, big shoulder pads, big jewellery, big pouffy shirts. And that was just the guys!!!

But yeah - everybody wore makeup in the 80's.

Hey, anybody remember "V"?

I got the DVDs of the mini series and the first season. There ar4e still talks about either re-doing V or starting off a V Next Generation type sequal. I do know for a fact that there is a book called that or something like that, which has come out recently.

I wish I could live in the entire 80s for the rest of my life. Sigh.

Yeah, I remember V too. I remember the mini series beter for some reason.

I have the book from part one of the movie, or I should say had, it was one of the flood casulties.

I also had the Movie episodes on VHS but not sure where those went. They disappeared a few years ago I think when I changed to DVD.

And I had WAY too many shoulder pads. And I even owned a pair of leg warmers. Can you believe it? And now they are back in fashion!!!!!!

That's okay, Amy. We love you anyway. I, for one, am thrilled to be taking part in the warping of younger minds. It means that there will be someone to carry on my work, after I am gone.... Wink

Yes, I would! Last year my daughter was in Grade 1 and she watched Gatch and BOTP with me (as did my preschooler son). Now, this year she is in grade 2 and my son is in Kindergarten and they are watching Eagle Riders with me.

They are warped beyond my wildest dreams! Bwaaaaa haaaaa haaaaaaa!

I would love to show my Gatch to my students but I am not sure how the parents, let alone the principal, would react to all the violence in the show.

*Not like they don't see it in the cartoons they watch at home or anything*.

Thinking of my Gatch DVD's. The ones I've watched appear to be fine. (Had a gatch day two weekends ago and watched the first 6 disks) My only problem is some of the paper covers to the cases got ripped while trying to dry them out.

And all the boxes the DVD's came in, I had bought the three box sets, were destroyed.

Anyone feel like scanning in a few covers from the DVD's for me and emailing the scans to me, so I can print off some new ones. I can let you know which covers I need something like 6 or 7 of them.

Or maybe there is a site I can visit to get the images. Anyone know???

I'm not sure about the flat covers, but SJ seems to have one in her siggie. Maybe she has more?

I remember "V" Maddy!!!

My DH and I were teenagers in the 80's, and from piccies we looked the part too... (We got together in 1987)

My DH got a body wave put in his hair when he was 19...he older brother was worried about him!!!Lucky he had me to show he was not gay...

There are pictures of us that make me cringe!

I had the big hair and 80's fashion...

To think I used to take him clothes shopping back then and get him... (a farmers son) into more trendy clothes...hahahaaa
