I'd love to see some interaction between Ego and the team, other than the sword duels with Ken, of course.

#goes to fanfic.com to read the fanfic# bolt

Yup, that's me. I'm an Ego maniac, so If I couldn't find any fanfic about him, I wrote some on myself.

As you are a Swannie , I understand your frustrations . Don't worry, I'm not planning an Ego/eagle yaoi. Although I'd like if there would have been an episode in Fighter where Ken and Ego were stranded on an isolated insland. Winknudge

That was more a diverting fanfic, intended to make the reader to say "Who's the blue boy?"
as you did. Smile

I'm far from being an expert in Fighter. As a matter of fact, I haven't even seen the series. My knowledge is gathered from digging info on the internet.

Well, Gallactor must have had lots of bases ( only from counting the ones Gatchateam blew up). Unlike Katze's ones Ego preffered the medieval style, so his quarters often looked like impressive castles. But they had high-tech weapons and defensess, as it was Z the one who buid them.

Hm, either this is a Joe/Jun fanfic, or you'll make up a new character or give a major part to an episodic one (usually the decoy girls that fall for Condor).
Anyway, I can't wait to read it!

I'll try to get that done and posted sometime this week. I figured I'd post it in the Gatchaman II section of this site, but I just noticed that there isn't one. There's one for the first series, the third series, and the OAVs. I can understand not having sections for the movie or the radio version, but leaving out the second series seems a little unfair.

Egobossler sounds interesting, what was the gatchaman base like in this series???Did they build another underwater base???What I'm writting won't be to canon but I still want some elements there. Keep it coming mate

In Gatchaman Fighter, the Gatchaman base was actually named "Gatchaman Base." Unlike Crescent Coral Reef or G-Town, it was not an undersea base. Instead, it was a non-moving structure built inside a hollowed out cliffside. The side of the cliff opened to allow the G-Mecha to launch from it, but was otherwise left closed to help keep the location of Gatchaman Base a secret.

In Gatchaman Fighter #41, Gallactor finally managed to discover where Gatchaman Base was, and launched an attack on it that destroyed the base. The same attack also allowed Egobossler to capture Director Nambu, leading to his death in episode #42.

By the way, as far as anything we ever saw on screen goes, G-Town is still intact. It was not destroyed in Gatchaman II, and it is ignored in Gatchaman Fighter. Why the Science Ninja Team doesn't return there after Gatchaman Base is destroyed is never said.

At that point in the series, Gallactor didn't have bases so much as territory. Gallactor may have had some strongholds that they established in their occupied regions, but quite often they simply made use of the existing structures, be it a remote village (#3), or a castle (#4). The easiest way to think of this is to look at Gallactor's invasion of Irope as being like Nazi Germany's invasion of Europe. Honestly, the European Theater of WWII is pretty much the framework Tatsunoko used for the war that took place during the first 15 episodes of Gatchaman Fighter.

After Gallactor was forced to flee from Satanforhen to Gallatown, they still didn't create many bases. Instead, they simply used a network of underground railroads to move from Gallatown to locations around the world they wished to attack.

Egobossler did not flee like Katse or Gel Sadra did, leaving their men to die while they escaped. Egobossler actually cared about the well being of his troops. While he was certainly willing to make a hasty exit when things went sour, he often (Though not always) did so with many of his troops.

Also, there were a number of times when Egobossler himself was not directly involved in the operations. In these instances, Mekandor or Kempeler led the troops.

I hope this helps!

Yeah it does...I'll have to use some free play a bit here with the story but It still should read o.k for the times. I'll use Ego but he may or may not have a sword play with Ego in one part of it...well not a full focus anyway...

I think I should have the "base" set in a castle then by the sounds of it. I can picture the Nazi movement good base outlook.

I'm trying to work out Gatchaman's base at this time...did they move into the mountains or something or did the go underwater again???

I think I'll just use the original god pheniox much easier to work with.

Cheers Ebony

The Ninja Team pretty much moved into Gatchaman Base as of the second episode of Gatchaman Fighter, and almost all mention of the Ninja Team having lives outside of their duties was eliminated. As it was, the only appearance the Snack Jun made in the series was one scene in the first episode. Gatchaman Base was immobile and hidden inside the cliffside. They did not have an undersea base again in the series, as G-Town is never mentioned.

The original God Phoenix never made an appearance in Gatchaman Fighter, though it did appear in one episode of Gatchaman II. Despite the fact that it was by far the best looking of their main ships, it was supposed to be less powerful than either the New God Phoenix or the Gatcha Spartan.

Oh, I've been lurking for a while, but now that Tatsunokofan was so kind to gave that wonderful info about Ego, I'll stick around.

I hope it will make the other fanfic writers to add Ego in their work. Wink3

I'll post the profile in here when it's done it's more of an extact but I'm hope you'll enjoy it!

I think I will surf around for some pics as guides as well..
