Thank you, James! At least this explains why i keep hearing it at the end of sentences, and why they seem to say it so much!!!

I gather that signs in stores saying "10% off" were being changed to "100% off" and the older woman in the clothing store was arguing for the bigger discount? Not exactly a problem on the level of a mecha destroying a city, but a problem nevertheless! Laugh1

If Gatchapin actually had to fight a real mecha, I think he'd be in way over his head! He'd need Cool Girl Jun to save him. Wink

Today Gatchapin once again faces off against the Mystery Man Moai the Yosuke. While several of the Mystery Men in the series are portrayed by the same comedians, Moai the Yosuke is the only Mystery Man character to make a repeat appearance in the series!

Enjoy!

I remember him -was he the one who was messing with the tempura?

I agree with TJ -today's ep has the best weapon yet!

(But should they be teaching children how to make it? watchout )

At least they had the hole in the cap! I was expecting the entire thing to explode on him!

Is Bobby a 'Man Carrier'? I saw him carrying a table, and presumably he carried plants and a dirty glove... Big Grin

I'm still trying to figure out if he was stealing things, or just "carrying" them around to different locations.

There is a rather sweet innocence about these episodes, where the most dastardly things villains can think of to do are to alter signs in stores, add booze to drinks, leave dirty gloves in shops etc., and they are foiled by tactics like spraying Pepsi or with suction cups. It's quite the contrast to the violence and destruction in the original Gatchaman!

Um.... let me get this straight, LB... you think spiking people's drinks (including those of teenagers) is *innocent*????

I think I'm seeing the real you sneaking out... Angel1

Laugh2 Weeell, I did come from a family where my Dad, by the time I was 16 or 17, wasn't averse to letting me have the odd small gin and tonic in the summer, one glass of his home-made holiday egg nog (rum was a main ingredient), or wine with meals, if everyone else was having them too...

But, seriously, you have to admit that spiking drinks is pretty tame compared to, say, ep. 64, where Galactor gives out toxic Christmas presents that leave small children dead.

True. But in comparison, the spiking drinks threat is much more dangerous, since Gatchapin isn't really capable of stopping it on his own. The SNT OTOH stopped Galactor all by themselves in the Christmas Present ep. Wink

(And I can't believe I'm discussing this seriously, but it *is* April Fool's Day...)

I think she did about wet her pants when Gatchapin touched her there!

You know, while Gatchapin is quite perverted in these eps, what *really* grossed me out was the guy licking the stools. I mean, I know he wasn't *actually* licking them, but the tongue-flicking thing... ewwwww..... Puke1

Okay, so let me summarize this plot.

People are upset because there are signs on all of the candy (bean pastries?). What does the sign say?

The Wonder-Woman-wannabe henchman steals a box of candy/bean pastries, the requisite chase scene ensues, and wonder of wonders, Gatchapin actually catches him. Gatchapin takes him to the police station and questions him, and he proceeds to alternately be sad and get up and sing/dance. I'm not seeing the problem here?

Gatchapin gets a plastic bottle filled with water and proceeds to whip the henchman with a piece of paper.

Henchman gives up and goes away.

I'm missing something here... why did they let the henchman go if they had already captured him?

I was laughing at the beginning with the makeup! I'm glad Gatchapin only ended up with lipstick. I was wondering what the eyelash curler would do to him, given that he didn't have eyelashes.
