I remember riding one of these in Florida and believe me it ain't that easy. I must admit I was a bit squeamish looking down into the water and seeing dark shapes swimming underneath me! I found out later that ..yes those dark shapes were probably sharks!

I think those peddle things are more geared to a lake than an ocean. My legs were burning trying to fight the waves to get out from shore. Coming back in I just let the waves take me back.
