When did California become 'not part of America'?
As for Keyop being an android, you have to remember that this comic was published in a weekly magazine that contained perhaps 20 different comic strips. Readership would vary, and people might not remember that Keyop was an android.

So that's why all we Californians feel so close to BOTP... because we're floating in outer space? And I guess I'm not alone, since Springie, James, Jason, Katharine, Amethyst, MarinDoll, etc. are out here too! I'm sure they'll be thrilled to learn of our exotic locale...

You certainly could have a nice get together with those numbers if you ever wanted to.

And then you have Chris and (Lyon I believe it is) who are on the West Coast of Canada.

Moving lights, the buttes of Monument Valley appearing in the Midwest, what next?!
I don't know if my heart can take it!

Wow! Keyop does an awful lot of whingeing for an android - maybe they should change his name to Marvin....

Maybe Zark altered Keyop's programming so that people would say, "Gosh, at least Zark isn't nearly as bad as that Keyop twerp!"

Now I wouldn't go THAT far, EW, nothing could be as bad as Zark!
