So your Canadian, I love Canadians, so friendly in general(well all the ones I have met so far)

My Husband wants to go to Canada and France for the scenery and my parent went there a few years back and just raved about Canada...

I have seen snow only once in my life!(that was not on TV, Christmas is spent at the beach, or playing cricket.)

I want to see more again some time. Well maybe one day...

I visited Singapore in 1994 for two weeks at Christmas time.
I really enjoyed my stay but I have a nice memory of being on the beach on Christmas Day and building a snowman instead of a sandcastle. The snowman was only one to two feet tall with sea shells for eyes and buttons and twigs for arms.

Snow is fun. It is the extreme cold I really hate. As a teacher the extreme cold is a stess during the day because the students get to stay indoors and it means extra supervision for us. We don't get that 15-20 mins. of down time for a relaxing coffee or tea.

A sandman way to go!

I always built my own cities out of sand, I had forts, walls and streets with houses...

I live in a very temperate climate, we really don't get extreme cold.

It will drop below Zero only for a few weeks over night, right now it is unusally warm today...better get back to packing I suppose!

You do need down time at work, so I can see why that would irritate you!

Son finished two weeks of climbing camp. Apparently all the investment of this winter was worth it. He's no longer the slowest kid on the hikes, he climbed to the top of the bouldering wall (12 feet) and used the boulder swing several times (hang in middle of nowhere), use the ascender (rope with toe loop) up to the top (30 ft) and climbed the wall all the way to the top (30 ft)! Last year he barely made 5 ft!

Yes!!!!! (And very glad we went for the second week; that's when his confidence and self-challenging kicked in.)

I have just spent a week away in near Weymouth, on the south coast of England. Lovely weather (slightly sunburnt, I guess factor 20 wasn't quite enough for me), lots of beach time and great scenery. I'm back for 3 days at work (just stretching my holiday out over the school holidays, my husband is still there with daughter at the moment) and then I'm off back there again, until Sunday when we drag the caravan back. And then a week and a half later, we go on holiday again! Hourglass

It is rumoured that we have seen the last of the rain in August and it's going to be a scorcher this month.

I have been forgetting we have been pretty busy keeping about 10 threads alive for the last few weeks. (or I should say the others have. I just throw out a few suggestions once in a while. hehe.)

Two IF's and lots of Condor, Eagle and Swanie pictures. A lot of reading but more fun looking at the picccies.

And, done! Four hours, I think. Now to see if the KD is salvageable. With any luck I'll be able to avoid this place for another week and get some visible stuff done, so hubby doesn't get suspicious.
