BOTP for ADV's anyone?

Its probably a lost hope , considering the high recommendation and popularity of the ADVs, but its worth a try.

Nope dont have an ebay or amazon account, and slightly hesitant about starting one but....

do have Universal's 12 disc BOTP complete series box set of entire 85 episodes.

Swapsies for these elusive ADV's?

If not, any suggestions how to procure, buy or steal said ADV's without having to go to Amazon or ebay myself??

Whimpersniff.....

Imi, try overstock.com. I got a bunch of the ADVs there super cheap. just make sure you buy the COLLECTIONS (not the volumes).

Imi darling dearest, I am surprised that an old internet hand such as yourself has not yet ventured into the world of Amazon and Ebay!.

Its simple and easy and a hell of a lot more secure then it used to be.

Just remember one thing! Never EVER respond to emails from Amazon or Ebay that you were not EXPECTING!

Apart from that your pretty much safe *grinwink*

Assuming you're in the States, you can also check retail stores like Best Buy and Suncoast, both of which carried the box sets. Best Buy clearanced them out a couple of months back, so there's a good chance that you won't find them there. Suncoast usually still has them, though they're still at full retail price, not a discounted price like you can find through most online shops.

www.dvdboxoffice.com is based in Canada I think, and has free airmail worldwide. Not sure how the prices work out since I am too tired to do that kind of maths in my head.

Careful. I bought ADV's first box for my brother from www.deepdiscountdvc.com, or something similar. Great price, even after converting to Canadian money. Still good after shipping costs. Then it got stuck at the border for weeks and got additional duty added. End result, saved $2 and got four weeks aggravation. I've heard, though, that they're quite good for within the US.

Definitely worth signing up for ADV's newsletter, www.advfilms.com. Every few months they have a huge sale, and you can buy the entire set for half the price. (Great discount on 1st disc, less on final, averaged to half price.) They shipped to Canada just fine.

I've never bought anything from deepdiscountdvd, but I have bought from dvdboxoffice. It's always worth checking for extra import duty before ordering. I made sure to keep my orders below the amount where UK import duty starts (having had a bad experience buying cels from the US over that amount).

I bought my ADV dvds from a reseller on amazon.co.uk, where they were shipped in from germany rather than the US, meaning that I didn't have to pay any import duty on them. Cloud9

Imi, I didn't realize that you were in Canada! As someone who remembers the days of cross-border shopping all too well, I feel your pain.

Overstock.com seems to only have the volumes now... those are the individual discs without the extras discs.

Go to www.dvdpricesearch.com and type in 'Gatchaman Collection'. That will give you the best prices on each item. It seems that DVD Pacific has the best prices right now.

http://www.dvdpacific.com/search.asp?title=gatchaman+collection

Of course, you'll pay for the lower prices in the shipping, but at least it's FedEx and guaranteed in 2-4 days. Make sure you adjust their prices to print out in CAD.

What's even more fun is that EST means Eastern Standard Time on both continents. 16 hours difference on a full moon and neep tide.

That's okay. It'll all sink in sooner or later. I thought a few posters were men when they were really woman. It took awhile form me to also learn everyone's different usernames on the different boards. I've only had two Lolabella and Zeta Cruz for RP-ing.

I wonder if Cep can put our location from the User CP underneath our names?

I hear you on the different names! I'm trying to stick with Transmute Jun for all things Gatch related. I think that helps, somewhat. flagging

lol!

And Im sorry I got Transmute Jun confused with Lola! Hey! Blame it on Metaliants Special Cuppa..(well thats the story and im sticking with it! *grin*

so thanks TJ!

As for time diffs and locations, well hey Im confused where I am most of the time, tho its surprising my Aussie Accent didnt give me away! *grin*

And please dont even mention the gender confusion we can have on here on the site. Blame it on names and avatars and the constant "role-playing " of our personas on nearly every thread we walk into!

I had strippedsearched Cep and Metaliant to make sure of their manliness! ( of course all done without their knowledge while they were sleeping *evil grin*)

As for diff sign on names, I wont budge from here, as I nearly went out of my mind and into crazed overload net addiction years ago when I did venture into other gatch fandoms. so I wont ever have a prob being recognised as just Imi/Imaqtz/condor. Terminator

Heck its bad enough trying to deal with personas and near schitzophrenia in here to even try to deal with diff sign on names! So hats off to you G-girl!

As for Cep..hmm...are you sure you only stuck to your name only? Im pretty sure I saw you sign on as "manintrenchcoat" on some porno site...

Sneeky
