Shocked Has Anyone Seen This?

The Gatchaman Access computer game...done mostly in Japanese, so it's a bit tricky to get any of the quiz questions right...but here are some of the demented things that you see if you get a question right...

Jun does this...

Hi all!

Gatchaman Access was a computer game based on the Gatchaman OAVs. It came out in August of 1995, a little over four months after the release of the third and final part of the OAVs came out. Why they would release a game based on the OAVs after they were over and done with is beyond me.

Anyway, as Springie has discovered, it's a game made up of a series of different challenges, including trivia (Based on the OAVs, not the TV series. The questions are actually pretty simple, and if you can read even minimal Japanese, you should be able to answer them fairly easily), puzzles (Where you assemble a picture of the OAV God Phoenix), a maze game (Where you can find "hidden" videos of the various Ninpo techniques used by the Science Ninja Team in the OAVs), and the like. It's really a fairly simple game, made more for fun than a challenge. Fortunately, it has some decent looking graphics, and a few fairly entertaining images like those Springie has graciously shown here.

The game came on a hybrid CD-ROM that could be played on either a Mac or a PC. While Mac users outside of Japan have no problem playing the game, the PC side of things requires a Japanese-language Windows platform to play. Fortunately for PC users, most of the videos and original images (Like those Springie showed) are accessible even without playing the game.

If you like the OAVs, and can find this game at a reasonable price, then it's well worth picking up!

Thanks for the info, James! Yeah...it has been fun to play around with. But I wonder what they were thinking when they came up with some of these images!
Lol
