My Gatch Files
All of my Gatch files (audio, pics of merchandies, screencaps, scans of books, etc.) are going to be deleted within the month. I'd like to see someone take these files from me and actually start working on them. They would provide more than enough to start the gatchawiki--they were meant to be the entirety of the content of this site. Who would like them? I'd hate to see all the years of gathering disappear--someone surely could make use of them!

I would be curious enough to possibly use them. How much storage does the items take and does it take a paid site to be able to hold all of them? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just too new to some of the internet things.

I'll have to check about the space...I don't know much about the Internet either. I may have a gig of files, I'm really not sure. I'm willing to burn the items onto DVD and mail them to whomever if they would like them.
I'm not leaving Gatchamania, that's for sure! I'm converting this computer over for business use and I need all the space I can get.
If you want the files, PM me your mailing address and I'll burn and send them off (hopefully) before the end of September. You'll have an absolute ball going through everything. You'll also probably discover exactly how Gatch-obsessed I really am.

Just out of interest, do you have a gmail account? While it'd take several emails to get them across, the storage size of the account would mean it might be possible to email them.

Seeing that so many people are interested in what I have...
Cep, can we set up an ftp and I could just upload them there? Then we could give people access and they can download or upload what they want.
I'm also on MSN--my email is d9yaa(at)unb(dot)ca. Or email me at auricia(at)nb(dot)sympatico(dot)ca. Then we can coordinate times and some of the items can be sent through MSN. But I have sooo much, and so many of you want the stuff, the ftp or communal place to download seems to be the best idea (and cheapest--I can't send the stuff to everyone!). I didn't think any of you would want it!

That sounds like a brilliant idea. If there's too much to put on all at once, it could be put up in several lots (say, x much per week or something like that - depending on how long you can keep it on your pc).

Ok, I'll start uploading it in pieces, it's a lot of stuff. I'm working on products for a craft show for this weekend, so I may not get a chance till next weekend before I upload, we'll just have to see how much time I have.
Some of the items you'll find:
--Art from the Gatchaman OAV computer game from ages ago (includes the nude Ryu pic--bet you can't wait to see THAT!)
--all the pages from Kit Katse Klub (so the msn site can be shut down and put up here)
--the hundreds of pics of merchandise I've collected over the years
--screencaps from some eps, including some screens from some limited release DVD by Tatsunoko
--early website layout ideas and images
--scans from my own books
I've such a huge amount...I think I have over 3 gigs. May be close to 5 gigs of Gatch stuff when I add the music to the folder. Is that enough, you think?
Any ideas what you may do with all the stuff? Like, make this the best damn Gatch site ever? *hint hint*
