Gatchamania back in action

It's nice to have the forum back, whether in old or new form Smile

So, how are everyone's Xmas or general seasonal preparations going? I am overworked and underprepared.

I think everybody is as overworked and under-prepared. I may be going to my parents this year but not too sure.

Last year I was on my own but wasn't prepared at all (no beer). This year, I have beer but not able to drink any of it until New Year's Eve and New Year's Day and maybe Jan 2nd.

But I hope everybody have a great Xmas and a very "hiccup" Merry "hiccup" New Year.

Wheee!!!!

Cricket sits down and makes herself comfortable.

We managed to get all the necessary stuff done, all wrapped and labelled and under the tree and/or hidden, but hubby will have to work over the holidays. He'd thought he was getting the week off, but as of yesterday, no such luck. Sigh.

Still, it'll be a nice holiday for the kids.

Cheers!

So did anyone get any good presents?

I got another pottery course (this will be the 4th year in a row, but I don't mind because I enjoy them so much). And I got a lot of rather good chocolate.

I think I am going to go and eat some in just a moment.

I bought a lot of lego for the husba--- I mean child.

Gift certificates for the kids at Toys'R'Us -- from the aunt and uncle that don't have them, of course. Hubby insisted we use them on Boxing Day.

New (well, used) handheld to replace the one that's flakey; great for reading offline. Saves trees.

Books, toys, and more sinful snack foods than I can eat in the next year.

I discovered the joys of taking the kids to the dollar store for gift buying. No more, "No, you can't buy the $100 glass dolphin for Uncle Keyop. How about the $10 pot holder?" The kids get to choose something they like and is personal, and then I top it up with a gift card.

Best of the season to everyone!

Cricket

I got the next Gatch box set from a dear friend!

Also got a new Scottie calendar and we (meaning hubby and I) treated ourselves to a PS2. Then we each bought a new game. I'm going to give Castlevania a try, but first I am going to learn the controls with Jak2.

A portable DVD player from a friend (a total surprise). For myself, I ordered the first three Gatchaman Box sets, which I should have any day now.
