It is a japanese number puzzle game.
Basically you have a group of number that you place in a grid vertically and horizontally.

Normal version:
Nine rows, nine columns, each row and column has the numbers one to nine exactly once. And see there are nine 3x3 boxes? Those all have the numbers 1-9 exaclty one, too. So each cell has to fit three different groups.

Its apparently really rather good, and its become a new craze.
Some of them are really quite good but the so called expert ones are just completely stupid, you just end up writing out every possible combination until it fits and thats hardly puzzle solving, just patience.
