Well, it's proven to be an especially crappy Monday. I'll spare you the bulk of the details (a lot of pain, frustration, pain, bumpy rides to and from the wound clinic, pain, pain, and more pain), but I'll let you in on the event that made this one of the Monday-est of all Mondays.

I have a breakthrough infection. Yep, I tested positive for Covid. help2

I thought my allergies were bothering me. It never occurred to me to be concerned about how easily I was becoming fatigued. And I was utterly clueless when I came to the more intense pain I was feeling with everyday activities.

So, for the next two weeks, I'll be in the Covid ward at Hillcrest Village.

I'm out of the COVID ward. I'm still thankful I'd been vaccinated -- the symptoms would have been MUCH worse. As it was, my symptoms were a little bit stronger than my ragweed allergy (runny nose, coughing, some wheezing), which usually happens this time of year, plus I had body aches that were a little more intense that what I've had with the flu.

There were 3 residents who hadn't gotten a vaccine, and I could hear their suffering through closed doors. They were sent to the hospital after a day or two. I don't know how they're doing now.

I'm in the process of regaining the strength I lost while in isolation, but it hasn't been much of a setback. I'll be heading home soon.

Glad you're doing better! Good thing you were vaccinated.
I got the booster last month-it kicked my ass! But being a high risk, I'll take the side effects to the actual thing.

EW I'm glad to hear you are vaccinated. Its fantastic you've come through the worst of it.

I'm fully vaccinated against covid, so is my husband and two teens (Younger kids can't get the vaccine yet).
