I have noticed that the past 2 weeks, the weather has cooled and there has been a lot of rain. Has the weather gone mad or wot?

I am in California and would love to send some of this blazing heat to anyone who wants it. Luckily it's dry heat but I still hate it when it gets above 80 F. Some days it reaches over 100F!!!

Basically it's stinking hot. We're doing no better in the northeast. Here in NY we have had a combination of humid and non humid days. But it's still hot.
How many more weeks till fall? I do so much better in cooler weather.
