I'm melting, i'm melting...

I'm inside. In the shade, with a fan going full blast... and the temperature is 88.7.

Too. Damn. Hot...

It's about the same here in Southeastern Wisconsin.

But, I'm in an airconditioned building sitting at my desk and I actually have a portable heater on underneath my desk.

I'd trade places with you just so that I could not be at work. Yuck!

It's no better here in the northeast. It's the humidity that is making it gross.

One advantage to living in the South? We may not have central heating, but we sure as bugger have good air conditioning!

It's 88 outside with 65% humitity. Feels like 95!

I luuuurrrrrve air conditioning!

Lurve lurve lurve! I send some your direction! (puff puff puff)

Trade you for a place with no hurricanes, but you need central air for the months you don't need central heat, and some days you need them both!

I loooooooove me my air conditioning. 88's the low...Frown But, man, the building I work in keeps it about 60 degrees. Brrrr...So I go from sweaty to cold to sweaty to comfortable (when I get to my apartment, which I keep around 80 for when I arrive).

I loooooove AC. I hate the heat. It is one of the reasons I moved back to NY. I kept having a problem with it being 70 degrees in November.
I like the cold and everything about it. Cuddly blankets, warm sweaters and hot tea.

I'm not so keen on the cold. ^_^ If it dips below 65 degrees, chances are that I have a sweater and jacket on (perhaps even topped with a scarf!). So...I guess it's good that I'm here. Never gets that cold. Just a couple of weeks of "cold" weather...consisting of lows in the 20s. That's above 0. I am a weenie when it comes to the cold. ^_^

I love AC too, when it really works well. Mine barely keeps my inside temp under 90! Then I really don't love the electricity bill Eek

Not got it. I stay in the shade

I'm getting increasingly tempted to go out and buy a mobile ac unit. I keep worrying that I'll buy it and then the heatwave will be over and it'll rain until October.

Although there is air conditioning where I work with all the IT equipment it is always hot and yes agree with most of you its more that it is humid with so little breeze so it makes it seem stuffy

Computers give out a lot of heat.

(which in winter can be handy.)

Posted by stardust on 15-07-2005 at 13:29:

Yes computers do give off alot of heat and if I can figure out how to get at least two in my classroom or office they have to give me an AC.
My school has no AC in the classrooms and you know about it when it is 90 and you have 30 additional bodies in the room with you.
I have been trying to figure out for the past two years how to get computers in my room and I think I finally have a solution. Mainly teach computer graphic design and the yearbook, that should do it.
