Big Scale God Phoenix

Hi all!

Have you ever said to yourself, "You know what my home needs? A big ol' God Phoenix toy sitting in the middle of my dining room table." If so, then your wish has been granted! Art Storm has announced that they will be releasing a "Big Scale" version of the God Phoenix next February.

This jumbo size version of the ship measures 400mm in length, or 15 3/4" long, for those of us who aren't metric minded.

Here are a few more pictures of it to whet your appetite.

Pretty neat looking, right? Sadly, a big toy comes with a big price tag. This baby will set you back a cool 88,000 yen, which is roughly $775.00. Yeah, that cooled my ardor as well. Oh, well. The pictures are still pretty!

Yeah, no. I could buy a lot of fencing wire for nearly US$800, or aviary components... or most of a Brinsea ICU box - the one with an oxygen port.

I note that in this version, the empennage actually looks workable, whereas in the original animation, it always looked too small to be of much use as a primary control surface.

You don't suppose that... <gasp!> they did science to it?

Its pricey. If I didn't have kids... then maybe. My single sisters spend money on things like that and antiques.

I love the warship and their vehicles.

I'm waiting for the billionaire diehard fan to build a full scale real God Phoenix. There has to be a real life Nambu out there somewhere in the world.
