Infini-T Force group viewing
Hi all!
I hope many of you have been able to view and enjoy Infini-T Force already. For a fun experiment, I thought I’d organize a “live” viewing and discussion of the first two episodes at my IRC chat room. All are welcome to drop by, say hi and comment on the episodes as they play out!
I’d like to start the first episode on Saturday afternoon, October 7 at 4PM US Pacific time. I know that’s a little late for some of our European friends, but I hope it’s a mostly reasonable time for fans around the world. Make sure to show up a little early so we can all get the Viz streams ready to start at the same time.
Here are instructions on how to access the IRC chat room:
You’ll need an IRC client application to connect. Or, you can connect via the internet.
To connect via the internet (the easiest method), visit here:
https://www.rizon.net/chat
You'll have to create an account and then connect to the room #gcon
For software, I’m on a Mac and I use a free application named Colloquy. Here is the link to download it:

It has versions for newer and older Mac OS X, so read to choose the one that will work for your machine.
A friend suggested AdiIRC for PC users. It’s also free. Here is a link to it:

The following are steps to connect using Colloquy, but I’m sure any IRC client will have similar prompts and commands.
When you open the application, a window will come up saying "New Connection."
In the Nickname window, pick a name for yourself. If you choose one that is already being used, the program will probably pick something similar, but you can pick until you get something you like.
Then under Server Protocol, choose "IRC Internet Relay Chat"
In the Chat Server scroll down and choose "irc.rizon.net" That's where I have the room hosted.
Then click on "Connect"
A new window will appear called "Connections."
Click on "Join Room"
In the "Chat Room" window, enter #gcon
Then a new window should appear, which will be the chat room. The topic of the room right now is "Up and running again!" so you'll know if you're in the right place.

Probably the easiest way of getting around regional restrictions is to use a VPN. There are paid services and there are free services, all with pros and cons.
To see which ones might be right for you, try googling "free vpn [your country]" or "vpn reviews [your country]" to read articles and learn about products that are available to you.
I'm considering using AVG's secure VPN, but that's just because I use AVG's paid security products already.

The "Kagaku Ninja Tai Gatchman Forever" facebook page has English subtitled episodes so far available for viewing without a geowall - and some with Spanish subtitles! (It's a Spanish-language page.)

This website has all the episodes available on streaming, the subs are in Italian. It should be understandable for those of you who know Spanish, I can't tell if regional restrictions block it, though...

I would like to have another group viewing. I was hoping to talk about it here earlier in the week, but couldn't access the boards.
I think Saturdays will work best for most around the world, but I also know this coming weekend is a big holiday for many. So... perhaps Saturday, December 30?
Let me know some thoughts. If it sounds like a lot of people can make it this Saturday, maybe we can try then.

Work has a really big event to set up for New Years Eve - 2 long days outside in the heat and sun to set up, then a REALLY long day on the 31st.
I'd love to be part of the group viewing if I can, so my preference would be this weekend.

This weekend will be a no-go for me. It's just crazy-time. I'm kind of looking for an excuse not to go to the cricket match on New Year's Day, though. (It's an annual game, played in a cow paddock on the banks of the mighty Blackwood River. If you hit the ball into a cow pat, you're automatically out.)

I think, all things considered, next weekend may be the best time. I'll confirm here if it still looks good toward the end of next week.
It's a little difficult to schedule something convenient for everyone around the globe, but I sure hope the time I mentioned will work for most who would like to drop by.
