FUCK YOU MTV!!! YOU FUCKED UP BIG TIME, YOU STUPID MOTHER FUCKERS!!!!! You have, in my opinion as well as many others, the reunion of the greatest band of all time, Pink Floyd, and you manage to completely FUCK UP the coverage of their performance!!!!! Who the fuck had the bright idea to BREAK AWAY IN THE MIDDLE OF THEM PERFORMING PERHAPS THEIR BEST SONG, COMFORTABLEY NUMB. AND EVEN WORST YOU DUMB FUCKS HAD THE AUDACITY TO TALK OVER THEM WHILE THEY WERE STILL PLAYING!!!!!!!!! YOU DESERVE DEATH!!!!!! YOU SHOULD ALL BE BROUGHT OUT AND BEATEN WITH CLUBS. YOU OBVIOUSLY DIDN'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT HOW HISTORIC THIS EVENT WAS, AND THEREFORE EVERYONE INVOLVED WITH THIS TRAVESTY SHOULD BE SACKED!!!!!!!!!!! Up here, from 8am Saturday till 1am Sunday, we had coverage of all the Live 8 concerts, and then we had a five hour special afterward, highlighting the best in case anyone missed it.

I'll admit, I think it's absolutely sickening that no one even bothered to broadcast the concerts in the US--ABC had a special for 2 hours, but I don't know if anyone else did the 24 hours plus of coverage like they did here and abroad. Wouldn't surprise me if the US didn't show it, you know how it is, they're the ones who have bought up most of Africa's resources and they're the ones selling weapons--but I promised not to rant anymore than possible...(though I've got to admit, Bush going on and on about the questionable past of the new Iranian leader...that's the pot calling the kettle black, now isn't it? And how much of his alcoholic blurred past does HE remember...GRRRR!).

I have to admit, the Pink Floyd reunion was the biggest thing that happened during the Live 8 concerts (and for us Canadians, the biggest thing was seeing Neil Young perform after having had surgery for a brain aneurysm in March). Though I'm not a fan, it was neat seeing all the geriatric band members getting together again--it also shows how absolutely ridiculously immature and ego-driven their break-up spat really was. Once you get to a certain age and the denture adhesive and Ben Gay fumes take over, everything really is fine...truly comfortably numb.

I am glad I listened to parts of Live 8 on BBC2s website (I'm a yank or I would have loved to pick up the signal over the air).

The people at one of the other forums I post to , u2.com are royally pissed at MTV too.
