Swatting up on Gatch trivia
I have just found out I have been accepted for an audition for a quiz show that requires you to nominate a specialist topic to be questioned on. There are general knowledge questions too, and you also get the chance to answer questions from the other contestants' topics.
The show is called Hard Quiz. There are no real prizes on offer, so it's really just for fun.
I nominated Gatchaman as my specialist topic.
My audition is early on Sunday morning (Sydney time), and I want to swat up on stuff they might ask me. I consider myself to have a fairly decent knowledge of the episodes themselves, but there are plenty of things I'm not confident about, and I'm worried about remembering Japanese names!
I know there are a lot of Gatchaman websites out there - some very factual while others contain quite a bit of fannon fact. I'd really appreciate it if anyone can suggest websites that might offer the best information on the show's history, contributing artists/writers and the like, and maybe any facts that a quiz show researcher might find.

Will it be on TV or radio?? Sounds interesting. Emby Quin had a lot of trivia related Gatchman stuff. Google the name and see what comes up.

It's an ABC TV show (hence the no prizes), hosted by Tom Gleeson.
My search for Emby Quin has so far only found a few examples of artwork and doll related stuff.

If memory serves, Aunty was the first network in Australia to screen Battle of the Planets and a year or so after that, the Nine Network bought the rights and broadcast it all again.

Audition done. I was unsuccessful - didn't get through to the interview stage today.
It wasn't my Gatch knowledge that let me down - it was possibly my general trivia knowledge or personality that let me down, or else the casting people just didn't think my special topic was the right vibe for the show.

Perhaps your specialised subject was too specific for your opponents?
Maybe the casting folk knew the others wouldn't stand a chance with your subject and wanted someone with a more common hobby or interest, so it would give them all a fair chance?
Well done for trying though, it was certainly worth a shot.!
