Reality TV

With the addition of more and more reality TV shows is it now a case of you wish they would find something new and different or are you still addicted to them?

Do you enjoy watching the Big Brother Series?

What is your favourite type of reality TV show?

If you dont like them what do you prefer?

I have not been hooked in by an #y reality show. I have no interest in them. Just as I have no interest in shows on how to decorate my home or install decking all over my garden.

I desperately wish the programme makers would come up with some better ideas. On the other hand, it has significantly reduced the time I've spent watching television, which has to be a good thing.

We need more entertaining genre crossing shows like Desparate Housewives, I think.

Have to admit I avoid them. I tend to watch Sci Fi Discovery shows and the news. Occassionally if there is a film on that I am home to see I will watch that.

Hubby watches Survivor regularly because his coworkers all talk about it. I watch it to be with him.

He'll also watch disaster movies when he's too tired to figure out that sleep would be better for him.

I watch Alias because it's research for my novel and I'm curious how many twists they can do to mess up her life. They're masters at cliff-hangers -- just watch one more show to get that question answered. But I'm finding it's not real useful for the research and I end up annoyed by the end rather than smiling, so I might not watch next year. Hubby watches it to be with me.

We both enjoy Dr. Who.

Crackers loves Transformers:Engergon, before that it was DragonBooster. Starting him on Anime early.

Rocket watches pretty much whatever's on.

We get only basic cable because there's a lot of good stuff on the other channels, and it makes the decision whether to watch the good show or do more useful things much easier.

Apart from the first three years of MTV's "The Real World" I have no interest in reality TV. Since ridding myself of my TV, I have little interest in that, except perhaps to watch the Gatch DVDs when I get them while being online at the same time.

As a guilty pleasure, I did watch a couple seasons of MTV's "Tough Enough", sort of an "American Idol" for the professional wrestling world.

I had a quick look at the first British Big Brother after 1 housemate became all evil and was breaking the evicting rules, etc and decided to leave. Been on telly once or twice after that but the majority of the housemates have disappeared. Happy news that is.

I have tried to watch the 2nd series but just thought it was useless as they tend to switch the sound off or switch over to a boring scene, so people can't hear the housemates ramble about famous people, companies, etc. What do the producers expect the housemates to talk about. Confused

Also, what's the point of showing people asleep all night? Confused

Now, can you imagine all the BOTP, Gatchaman, etc characters you know of in a reality show. Laugh

Ive got a great new reality challenge!

C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\Phenomena - Home - EditorialBS.htm

(yes I know its 6 pages long but there is an awful lot that is somehow very relevant to Gatch...and BOTP)

You have two teams, one from Galactor and the other from the ISO. They have been doing illegal experimentation on humans, that and some really unlikley looking aircraft. (pretty routine for this lot...) But things have gone wrong and the craft has crashed in the desert.

They have now got to disguise this little game as a UFO crash in order to put the competing teams, from Spectra and the Intergalactic Federation, off of the scent.

Ronin, none of us are going to be able to see that because it's just a link to your own hard disk. You need to post it in topics or upload it onto some webspace somewhere.

I dont know how to post links

Posted by meridianday on 02-07-2005 at 13:14:

The problem isn't the link, it that it's pointing to somewhere the rest of us can't get at. We can't see your hard disk from here.

Can you post the text of the document here rather than the link?

Or can you upload it to the files/fics/whatever section of Gatchamania?

Or can you get yourself a simple web space provider such as geocities.com? I have a geocities.com account for my own webspace and it is a total doddle to use.
