Infini-T Force Anime
Hi all!
At the anime convention Anime Japan, being held in Tokyo this wekeend, Tatsunoko announced that they will be working with Digital Frontier to produce an animated version of Infini-T Force.
At this point, very few firm details have been announced. What they have said is that the series will be a "Full 3DCG Anime Project," and that it will be released in 2017 as part of Tatsunoko's 55th Anniversary. They have also said that the story will be different than what is appearing in the Infini-T Force manga.
Tatsunoko also announced that they will be working with Level-5 to produce a new Time Bokan series, "Time Bokan 24." This series will be released in the Fall of 2016 as the first part of Tatsunoko's 55th anniversary celebration.
Needless to say, more news to come.
James
Interesting.

Hi all!
In case you care, Tatsunoko's press release for both Infini-T Force and Time Bokan 24 can be found at:
http://www.tatsunoko.co.jp/newsrelease/release/2016_0324_press_release.pdf
The first part is all about Time Bokan 24, with the announcement for Infini-T Force starting on page 4 of the release.
A quick 'n' dirty translation of the announcement reads:
Infini-T Force
With Tatsunoko heroes filling the screen to bursting, a full 3DCG animation project begins!
"Infini-T Force" is a new animation production where previous Tatsunoko heroes take part in a dream contest. With Tatsunoko embracing 4 of its heroes as the leads, the screen will be filled to bursting. This is a work that will be drawn completely in full 3DCG, provided to the production by "Digital Frontier," who can boast to having a CG production capacity and track record that is the highest in Japan. Please look forward to the successful revival of Tatsunoko heroes, in full 3DCG for modern times.
This is followed by a short announcement for the first collected volume of the Infini-T Force comic.
James
James, does Infini-T Force becoming an anime project have any bearing on the proposed Battle of the Planets Phoenix Ninjas project?

I'm writing a book. I've got the page numbers so far...
Hi all!
As far as I am aware, the two projects are separate and what happens with one should have no effect of the other. Infini-T Force is being produced in Japan by Tatsunoko and Digital Frontier and aimed at the Japanese market, while the new Battle of the Planets is being produced in Canada by Corus Entertainment and aimed at a more global market. So. any direct connections between the two series should be minimal.
James
This is very exciting! I'm far more interested in this than Crowds. Thank you so much for posting this, James!

Hi all!
As part of the announcement for the Infini-T Force anime at Anime Japan, Tatsunoko showed a minute long promotional video for the series. They have finally made that video available online, and it can be seen here:

It's just a teaser, so it obviously doesn't show much, but I still figured you'd want to see it.
James
Looks good so far. Maybe the Condor fans will also get to see Joe in this since he was released as one of the new figures.
