Snack Attack!

Since I've been feeling silly lately, I thought I'd put up a silly post. Tongue

I wanna know what your favorite snack/comfort/junk foods are!

Chocolate? Cake? Pretzels? Peanut M&M's? Let's hear it!

I'll go first (just a small list off the top of my head):

Walkers Crisps (the Cheese and Onion ones), Smartfood White Cheddar Popcorn, Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies, Rainbow Cookies (a.k.a Italian Flag Cookies), Cadbury Double Decker Bars and Curly-Wurlies. Starburst Jellybeans.

Answer: YES! (as an appetizer...)

Let me put it this way: my blood type is Hershey!

I anticipate a lot of evil in this thread. Elfmad

Let's see, I'm very mood-based. Depends on how I'm feeling.

Hostess Cupcakes (the chocolate ones with the swirly white down the middle and the filling), the oatmeal cream pies I LOVE but I haven't bought in ages because I can't eat just one, brach's bridge mix and malted milk balls, ice cream sundaes, chocolate chip or oatmeal raisin cookies, brownies, cake (with lots of frosting) ... right now though I'm eating chips, wanted the salt. Tongue

Oooh those are great lists CW & KT! Thumbsup

KT I love the Mr. Kiplings Cakes (the lemon ones). Don't care for Jelly Babies for some reason, but I LOVE winegums! Smile

Like Chris, my mood strongly influences my choices. If it's sweet, starchy, or the oh-so-addictive sweet/salty combo, I'll probably eat it! Right now, I could go for chocolate covered pretzels or Puffcorn Delights (popcorn without the hull -- they have the texture of cheese puffs. Very addictive.)

Sometimes it seems I could beat Ryu in a junk food eating contest...

I've not heard of those EW (Puffcorn Delights). They almost sound like Pirate Booty (which I also love).

Mine, too, depends on mood. Chocolate is usually my go-to, but I also get in the mood for

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Anything with Nutella
Guacamole (sometimes, the guac has to be paired with something specific or has to be on a particular sandwich from Jimmy John's or on my favorite naked burrito from Qdoba.)
White queso dip & chips
Totino's Pizza Rolls
Potato Chips and French Onion Dip
Trek Mix from Costco
"Gone Fishin'" Flavor Ice Cream (it's chocolate with caramel and little milk chocolate fish)
Tiramisu

This list isn't complete. I'm sure I'll think of something else. Smile

Hmm... hubby used to have a vending machine route so our front closet was known as "the wall 'o snacks". Needless to say, I don't eat a lot of that stuff anymore after having binged on it way back when...

In the last few years, I seem to have also lost a lot of my sweet tooth/desire for sugar, so I don't eat much candy anymore - I decide I want it, buy it, and then end up trashing most of it if hubby & kiddo don't get to it in time (they try to be nice and leave it for me. I keep telling them unless it's the day I bought it, it's fair game unless I specify otherwise...)

But there are still a few sweets that I like on occasion:
Cotton candy (preferably blue, or the yellow banana flavor that I've gotten at Disney a few times)
Ice cream (usually chocolate, chocolate chip, or double chocolate magnum bars)
mini black & white cookies (but only from a specific deli/restaurant around here)
100 grand bars (but I rarely eat them anymore)
if I've had a really bad day (or really a string of them) I'll go for the haribo gummy bears, but I really only like the red ones and am sugared out after about 5 bears...

I do like chips, mainly lightly salted, salt & vinegar, or honey bbq. Sometimes I like tostinos with french onion dip.

If I have popcorn, I like to mix it with snowcaps

mostly when I crave stuff though, it's sportsbar appetizers like wings or fried zucchini.

What a tasty thread!

Here's my top five:

Potato chips
Peanuts (also with yoghurt -- yes!)
Chocolate bars -- plain milk chocolate or with almonds
Oat biscuits, preferably with peanut butter

But my main staple is....

Coffee!!!!

(I never touch Coke or any other carbonated drinks, apart from beer and some soda to go with a Campari)

Eek4 Okay, I wasn't expecting that... just thought everyone's at least heard of Tootsie Rolls, since they've been around for so long.
I think this might best describe them until transporte technology is developed and I can then beam a few over to you:

EW, this looks like something I could TOTALLY get addicted to! Perhaps it's better that it doesn't grow in Europe Smile

I'm especially inclined to think I'd absolutely love the vanilla and cherry ones.

ETA: I read the article more carefully -- they do grow in Europe, but not in Belgium or Greece yet.
