Spring Has Sprung!

Don't know how many of you saw "Bambi" growing up, but in the spring, the owl refers to all of the lovey-dovey forest creatures as being "twitterpated". I call this pic "twitterpated" because it just popped into my mind when I was naming this pic.

Happy 1st Day of Spring!

So sweet. You've got the birds covered, you should have some bees on the flowers! Smile

Spring has sprung
Fall already fell
Before you know it
It'll be hotter than He**.

Spring may have sprung, but Belgium hasn't acknowledged the fact yet!

Glad you guys like it! Hope it help usher in Warmer weather for those of you who are still in the icebox! We keep nice sunny, warm weather here, and I don't take it for granted! Mylari, like you, we seem to be jumping into summer. I have had my fans running a lot lately!

I second Mylari's observation (of course, we are not that separated in distance either - so the weather is pretty identical)...

Heat on one day with coverings on the sensitive plants, A/C the next (just about) with thunderstorms starting to crank up the summer schedule... and the weeds are out in droves! Not to mention the 'squitos... Sheesh!

Hope that we do get a breath of spring - although the Spring Break contingent are enjoying the sun and surf (brrrrr).

Here it is, the first full day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, and one of the Weather Channel's headlines is: Winter Storm Ultima heads out to sea after hitting parts of New England! So now I've discovered another reason to gripe about the Weather Channel's idea: the folks in New England already know they've had a crappy season. Do they really need to know how crappy -- that they've been hit by 21 storms?

The season snow record was broken in Boston this year. Last I heard they got over 109 inches. The record was 107.

We celebrated the first day of spring with snow and closed schools.

But your picture was lovely, Springie. At least our daffodils are starting to come up.
