Gatchaman Crowds Insight Website
Hi all!
Nippon Television has launched their official website for Gatchaman Crowds Insight, which can be found here:
http://www.ntv.co.jp/GC_insight/
At this point, the site doesn't have much to it, but it does confirm that the series will air during 2015. My bet is during the summer, just like the first Gatchaman Crowds.
Most of what's currently on the site is text, which Anime News Network conveniently translated for us. With colors and font sizes added to approximate those on the website, it says:
We want to know about ourselves.
About the fact there is no "society" in our "country"
About "society" and "people" living in different worlds.
Feeling and reason
What is crucial is "thinking," not "worrying."
Modern people are too "fast" — we breath shallow and quick
"We" are terrible at being slow and deep.
Also, the site has a picture of a previously unseen blue Note, which hints that there will be new characters introduced in the series.
It's safe to say that there will be more to come!
James
Thanks James.

Yes, well, I give you that. But it was loads of fun. The main character was a much-welcomed breeze of fresh air in the stuffy rows of female (or male, for that matter) protagonists, the villain was beyond amazing, soundtrack to die for, and the social commentary was neat as well. My only gripe were the side characters, which were a bit underdeveloped.
As an addition to the Gatch franchise I admit I was and am somewhat disappointed, but watching it for what it is was quite an experience, and I watch five to ten anime series every season. This was by far my top pick of the summer season and year 2013 as well.

I liked crowds for what it was, just not as an addition to the Gatchaman franchise! I'm looking forward to the next season!

Yep...not Gatch...but I enjoyed it. Those red, white and blue things in the background are creepy...

(Considering I have Crowds In Sight to look forward to for the summer season, spring season looks so bad...)

Hi all!
In should also be noted that the "Goods" section of the website has also updated, showing a veritable ton of new Gatchaman Crowds Insight merchandise. This includes everything from metal pins, clear files, a special edition toy car based on Rui's Galax-Z car from the new series, a number of new shirts, jerseys, and more. They have also announced a new, lower-priced edition of Gatchaman Crowds on Blu-ray, which will include all 12 episodes plus the Directors Cut of episode #12 for 10,000 yen. Here is some of the new merchandise:
As mentioned, NTV has also started a Twitter account for the series, as well as a Facebook page. If you want to go to them directly, the Twitter account can be found here:

The Facebook account can be found here:

In further news, this last weekend was when the convention Anime Japan 2015 was held in Tokyo, and Tatsunoko had a booth there. At their booth, they made a few announcements regarding the series. First, it will start airing this July. Also, the main staff has been announced, and it includes:
Director: Kenji Nakamura
Series Composition: Toshiya Ono
Original Character Design: Kinako
Character Design/Chief Animation Director: Yuichi Takahashi
G Suit Design: Koji Nakakita, Kenji Ando
Animation Production: Tatsunoko Production
If these names seem familiar, it's because they all performed the same roles for the original Gatchaman Crowds back in 2013. While no official announcement has been made regarding the voice cast, the majority of the main cast from Gatchaman Crowds have made mention of how they are "looking forward to the new series," or have recently appeared at publicity events for the show, indicating that they will be returning as well. If that's truly the case, then we can look forward to more from Katsuji Mori, the voice of Ken, the Eagle in the original Gatchaman, in his role as J.J Robinson.
The Tatsunoko booth also sported a full-size version of Rui's car, as well as a model dressed as Rui to pose with it. The booth as visited by voice actors Ayamu Murase, who voices Rui, and Kotori Koiwai, who voices Utsu-tsu. On both the Twitter and Facebook pages, they posted a photo of the two actors seated in the car with Rui.
The booth also sported this new image of Rui by the Galax-Z:
Further pictures of the Tatsunoko booth can be found on the Japanese Gatchaman fan site GatchaKan here:

And, lastly, the shop Marui City Shibuya, located in the Shibuya area of Tokyo, has opened a special pop-up store dedicated to Gatchaman Crowds and Tatsunoko's Yatterman Night TV series.
The shop is carrying a combination of older Gatchaman Crowds merchandise, the new Gatchaman Crowds Insight merchandise, and a variety of items that are exclusive to this shop, like these:
The shop will remain open through April 5th.
And that should bring you up to date on Gatchaman Crowds Insight news, at least for now!
James
Wow...lots going on! The Rui car is nice. I'm wondering what the smile is all about...I don't recall anything like that in the first series. The shape of those Bird Go shirts is...interesting. I'm not sure why they bubble out at the bottom like that...doesn't seem too flattering. Should be interesting to see where they take this...
