I've been a long time fan being raised on BOTP in the 70's before discovering Gatchaman in my young adult years. Now I'm just an old man who watches too many cartoons!
I came across this forum some time ago but due to problems that caused a delay with my registration and then RL getting in the way I never got around to posting. Recently, I found out about Gatchaman Crowds and that set me off back on to the path of the original series. That, in turn, reminded me of this place so that's why I'm here again... and thought I'd post before I forgot again!

It's nice to meet you, Luminous X! You will find that many of us here (including myself) loved Battle of the Planets as kids and then slowly found our way to Gatchaman as we became older. Somehow you never forget that first love!

Welcome! It's funny how many of us followed the same path of falling in love with BOTP, and then going "OMG!!!" as we discovered Gatchaman.

@ Becky Rock; Sadly I don't write fanfic. I've tried in the past but I'm really not very good... But, you know the saying - "Never say never".
I'm sure I'll take part when I have something to say though I'm not the most erudite fan out there! Maybe I should make a thread about Gatchaman Crowds just for KT1972...

And, as Becky rightly said, it's our way to remain young by watching anime/cartoons! I'm one who have had the fortune, if I might say so, to have encountered the real Gatchaman during my childhood on Italian channels! So, for me, it's the other way round ... I'm trying to learn more about BotP during my adulthood ... even though, to be honest, I feel more comfortable if I stick with my Gatchaman! That's also one reason why I didn't even venture into Gatchaman Crowds!
