2014 Gatchaman Calendar

Ugh, I would love to get this:

Gatchaman 2014 Calendar

but the shipping costs over 2x what the calendar costs. Tongue Too bad there's nothing else there I've gotta have ... Anyone have a lead on a place to get it without massive shipping? I guess it would be too complicated for a bunch of us to order together and split things. I know I don't have the energy to arrange/manage something like that.

eeh... It's probably easier to draw one. Besides, nowadays Japanese calendars always have two months on one page, so you'd get only six pages for your money. In my opinion it'll turn up on ebay sooner or later.

Pretty cool though, and a nice thing to have or give as a gift to a fan.

I wonder if it is newer art, or older?

If the calendar is only $9 USD, even if the shipping is $10 or a little more, it would still cost about the same as most US calendars which cost about $15 to $20 depending upon where you get them.

While I love calendars like this, I've decided that it is easier to make my own, without the pictures, and I put all known important events on it at the start of the month, before I print it up, and then print up about 3 or 4 copies.

Hi all!

Just to make sure you know, this is a desktop calendar, not a wall calendar. Also, this calendar has only one month per page, not two. Actually, each page is double-sided, with different versions of the calendar for that month on each side. One has a more "artistic" layout, while the other has a more standard grid pattern. Some of the art is new, taken from the artwork of each character that was combined to create the from cover image, while others are older images, including images of the Ninja Team vehicles. If I get a chance tomorrow, I'll scan some of the pages so you can see what they look like.

Hi all!

Okay, here's some scans from the calendar pages. These show you the front and back sides of the pages, as well as the front and back covers. The back cover shows small images of all the front sides of each page. Each page is actually a loose sheet of very thin cardboard. I hope this will help give you a good idea of what the overall calendar looks like.

Nambu's looking very GQ on the December page, hehe. What does that hand position (thumb and fingers out, middle fingers tucked) mean in Japanese culture, if anything?

Might just have to get this. Smile

Thank you for sharing James !

I really like the look of this and wish there was a way to purchase the calendar without having to pay for shipping fees.

Hi all!

You all do realize that you can order this calendar from Amazon Japan with a lower shipping rate, don't you? I just checked, and ordering just this calendar would cost me a grand total of $18.20, including shipping.

The calendar can be found on Amazon Japan here:

Thanks, James. The calendar has a pretty interesting layout. (also, my birthday month has Katse on it. Heh.)

Chris, I don't know about Japanese culture, but in this particular instance, it means that they deleted the desk that he had been leaning his hand against! (And I do remember the seeing the episode that this came from, but I don't recollect at the moment exactly which one it was.)

Seeing this, my first thought was 'wow, Nambu looks like he's giving everyone a low "hang loose" sign'! lol
