GatchOnline

I've been wondering...now that Katsesama is no longer with us...will her Gatch Online site go away? I hate to see all of her hard work disappear...it's such a nice site.

I thought about taking screenshots of the pages...but I'm not sure how to save it or if it can be saved. I think Katsesama hosted it herself. Does anyone know how this works and if it is possible to save it?

GatchOnline

Katsesama also had a blog and several other websites:

I've got absolutely no idea, Springie. I'm technically challenged.

I would think Jason would know.

I'm guessing that as the site was her intellectual property, it would entail contacting her family, as her heirs, to inquire about where/how her Gatchaman site(s) were hosted and whether, if they were willing, it could be transferred into someone else's control and hosted elsewhere, in order to be perpetuated. How complicated all that could be technically... I really don't know.

I agree, it would be a terrible shame to lose it.

I see that the Wayback Machine does have it though, so that's something at least.

The Wayback Machine has Diinzumo's site too.

Thanks, LB...It does sound like it would be tough to tackle. I forgot about the wayback machine...do things stay there indefinitely?

Since reading about Katsesama's passing, I too have been wondering what would happen to her websites.

I wonder if Jason, or Juliann might be able to help solve the problem.

I just checked the site today, and it's gone..... Frown

The Gatch blog seems to still be up though, at least for the time being.
