New Gatchaman Merchandise Coming In August
Hi all!
A small pile of new Gatchaman merchandise featuring the classic versions of the characters is coming this August -- perhaps not too surprising, since this will coincide with the promotion for the live action movie. Regardless, it's nice to see the original versions of our heroes getting some attention as well. What all is coming? Well, we have the following:
Smart Card Sticker Set
(893 yen per set of two)

(1,000 yen for a set of 5 buttons)

All of these items are coming from the good folks at Chara-Ani (http://www.chara-ani.com/). They're only available for preorder in Japan, but I'm sure that they will eventually turn up for sale on either Yahoo! Japan Auctions (Where they can be purchased through any of the various proxy services) or eBay.

It turns out that CD Japan, a Japan-based company that has an English language website for ease of use by non-Japanese fans, is going to be carrying all of the new Gatchaman goodies that Chara-Ani is releasing. You can easily find them all by searching "Gatchaman" from the CD Japan homepage.

I've ordered from CD Japan many times before, and I can vouch for their being a reliable and trustworthy business. So, if there's any of these items you would like to get, this will likely be the easiest way for you to do so!

Unfortunately, I didn't see these listings until fairly recently (go-figure!). I can see that you need to order early, as most of the items sold out during the pre-order process. Lesson learned!
Also, what exactly are those "clear files"? (i.e. what are they printed on, etc). I've not heard that term before.
EDIT: Answered my own question, I see it's printed on PVC. Guess it's like a decal.

Yes, they're printed on plastic, but they're not decal. The clear files are two sheets of plastic sealed together on two edges. The other two edges are left open so you can put sheets of paper inside them, like a file folder.
