new foster puppies
Meet Dimples (large female) and her brother Dweeb (smallest)
They are 10 weeks old, Dimples (Female largest of two) is Sharpei x bull Arab, Dweeb (small male) is Tang style Sherpei ( original chinese Sharpei) - two different dads , same litter.
There mother was 15 years old when she had them ( a litter of 3?) their other brother has gone to another fosterer and the mother has done to long term fostering, to enjoy the rest of her life- all were surrendered.
Dweeb is the runt, he loves to cuddle, be carried, sleep on top of you, collect things (shoes, socks, toys etc ) he has a very protective instinct, he needes to know were his humans are on a regular basis
Dimples is bold and an explorer, loves to chew on us, (it is no use trying to sleep in, if she can get hold of your hand , hair, foot she will chew on it till you get up or give her a cuddle)
they will be desexed next month and go up for adoption once the vet gives the all-clear.
We got them late Thuresday night and after a few teething issues they are now fitting into the back, even with the size differences

They are lovely, LW, don't you ever feel tempted to keep any for yourself though?

Been okay so far, But Dimples is realy tugging on my heart strings, so very tempted with her.
Dimples is the one in the front
In saying that the shephard x husky in the photo is my heart dog and if we adopt one of our fosters, that would mean it would be harder to keep fostering othger dogs with a large pack.

I give you a lot of credit, LW ... I could never foster a dog and then see it go to another home ... but these puppies are adorable! I hope they do find good forever homes and are loved!

They are gorgeous puppies, LW! And I can certainly understand why that little girl is so very tempting...
As much as it might make it more difficult for you to foster others, maybe fate is trying to tell you something...? I firmly believe that you just know when you're supposed to become a dog's furparent. There's just something that happens when you look into their eyes, a connection you can't let go.

Boy, I'm glad I took my insulin before I saw the pics! They're just precious !!!!!!!
I agree with Green. . . you might think it would make fostering more difficult if you kept one, but it's entirely possible you've found one who's meant to stay with you. I'm sure that, if you chose to keep this one, you wouldn't become an animal hoarder -- you've done this long enough to know that, most of the time, the puppies were meant to be with you just long enough to prepare to go to their forever homes. If you ever get to see the tv show "Animal Cops", you'll see what I mean.

Thanks all.
I love what we do, and I love the results we are getting,
The resilance of these animals is amazing.
We had one dog earlier this year, how was surendered and ended up at our place several hours later, he was listless, emaciated, skin condition and malnutrition (the owner had fallen on very hard times). We did not know if he would survive or it was kinder to put him down (we gave him 2 weeks grace to see how he would go)
2 months later and 5 kilo heavier he was a different dog that went to his forever home, full of life and happiness.
The owners still let us know how he is going.
Most of them just need love, kindness and a gentle but firm hand, and when someone is interested in adoption, it is the dogs decission (usually after 3-5 visits) as well as ours and the rescue organisation.
Dimples is a beautiful puppie, I know in my heart she will find a wonderful home, till then we have the priviledge and the wonder of having her in our pack, and being used as her moving chew toy.
We are just the next step on what will hopefully be a wonderful and full life.

They look like they are going to grow huge.

So cute! I know I'd have trouble fighting the urge to keep kittens and puppies if I were fostering them. I have a cousin in Maine who, at one time, had 14 adult cats, mostly because she would foster litters of kittens and then end up keeping them all.
Adorable wrinkle-dogs! And yes, you should keep the one you're connected with.
