I think they tried to search for him for three days or two weeks or something and coudnlt find his body.....or I mixing cannon fact with fanfiction..??

Fanfic I think. The only time anything like this would be mentioned is at the start of Gatch 2 (Gatch 1 ends before they have time to look), and there it just says he was lost 2 years before as far as I know. I could check, as I have a subtitled version, but I just don't know where I've put it right now.
