I made another account so I can RP as a character I like, and now they're not letting me add friends myself for a certain amount of time just because I sent out a bunch of friend requests on my first day. WHAT THE HELL, MAN?! And I can't send them messages either! Lamer

Allen, I know that is just an expression, but it is a very derogatory one. That is unless facebook is being really happy and you mean that word in a use that has become archaic.

Allen , you said a "certain amount of time" this just means a delay, not that it won't happen, just that it will takes a little longer.

Facebook is a good way to catch up with people, but like most things it is not "instant", things like accounts have to be processed and put through the system, you'll catch up with your friend.

Life moves so fast now days, sometimes delays are good ..they give us time to stop, take a deep breath and appreciate the wonderful world we now live in..

As for the term that was used even as an expression, yes it is both derogatory and Archaic and it is a pity that such a simple word used in my parents time as an expression of joy ,has been given such a hurtful meaning
