I Got This Power Macintosh Powerbook G3 (I Think It Means Gen 3) Anyways I tried To Mount a Stupid Disk And The F***ing Thing Said "The Disk Could Not Be Mounted!" I Don't Know What To Do! I Am Proud Of My PPC G3 but It's a B**** To Update because My Father Won't Let Me Update Her Because She Is Not Protected For Internet Use. I Have A Name For My G3 (Notice How It Has Jun's ID Number I Think That's What It Means Anyone Let Me Know.) the Name's Jun the Swan Because In The Name It Has G3 In the name.

I find most disks are not readable by Macs. You have to look for the Mac symbol on the disk before buying any program otherwise as you say it is not mountable or readable. Then you have a piece of useless plastic hanging around.
That is the problem of owning the lesser used Mac over the PC's. Producers do not think about the smaller user only who the majority of their users will be.
I have made many a disk, sent to me in the mail, into a frisbee for my dog. It lasts about three throws before she breaks it up, of it hits a tree and smashes.

What do you mean it's not protected for internet use? I was under the impression that most Macs come with anti-virus software and that it is largely unneeded as most viruses are written for PCs not Macs.

My Dad Is Picky Of What He Lets On The Network Because Of Security Protocols That Won't Let Any Computer On the Network Without Knowing the WEP Code (If The Computer Is Wireless) Or If It's Directly Connected To The Router (Like My Dell XPS 410) A Program Called Network Magic Has to Allow The Computer To Join The Network. There amethyst Hope that Helps You Understand The Problem I Have. BTW I LookedOn Apple's Website For The Maunal, I Found it After a Little Searching Around And I Lost The OS9 CD On Top Of That! But All Kidding Aside Swan Jun (The Name Of My Mac) Is So Old Apple Stopped All Support For the Powerbook G3 Series. I Talked To A Friend Of Mine Who Worked For Apple and he Said And I Quote: "Apple has Stopped technical Support For The G3 Series So they Could Consern themselves With the Newer Macs Comming Out."
