whywhy does she keep goin back?!

Ugh

My younger sister got divorced last year, for so many reasons, we were ok with this decision... However, she had already started a new relationship with a guy she met at work and got to know in the romantic city of Las Vegas (......) this guy is an alcoholic, and has been for a while.

Sooooooo this guy just keeps taking craps on my sister. He doesn't share any interests, he won't go to AA or rehab, even though he promises he'll quit. He calls her names and treats her terribly. He forgot her birthday and refused to celebrate because of playoff games. He makes her clean and do everything include drive him to work since he lost his liscence.

I hate him. He is the most awful person EVER. And I can't believe my sister won't dump hisbutt! He's not even that great of a guy, he is a bump on a log.

I just had to get it out, I don't even wanna see him or have anything to do with him. uuuugggghhhhhhhh

I believe alcoholics can change, totally, its the fact that he has no desire to not even for himself.

It's natural that you're feeling this way, Trideegurl2! It's also obvious that you really love your sister, and that that's why you're worried sick about her! Hope things will get better for you both!

Unfortunately, while you can be there for your sister, you can't make up her mind for her. But if he bothers you this much, you should let yoru sister know, and then refuse to see him... EVER. If enough people do that, she might get the message.

Huggles to you, Trideegurl!

Ugh being sister is do much work. I love her sooo much, but yes, I cänt make this decision for her.

NEVER rely on TV shows for relationship advice. Guys like Dr. Phil you need to take with a salt block.

Your sister probably makes excuses for him. She doesn't realize that alcohol releases the real person by lowering inhibitions. 'He's OK when he's sober' should be the prelude to running like hell.
