When I watched that happening I could almost feel the pain myself! Imagine hers! You're right in saying that she must be made of stern stuff, Cep! She's surely also very courageous to have continued (if she did!), even if the $1,000,000 could have been a real incentive!

LOL, Amazing Race is one of our favorite shows. We saw that a few weeks ago when it aired.
If they hadn't finished the task, they would have been eliminated from the race. But yeah, the decision to continue was from the woman who got hit, and she was laughing about it even ten minutes later.
If it makes you feel better, last episode her friend hit herself with the car door and is now walking around with a big bandage over her eye. These two are accident prone!
Did you know they're both hostesses on the Home Shopping Network?

She was lucky. If the melon had been a little harder, or hit her differently, she could have been permanently disqualified from a normal life. Or killed.
(I don't watch 'reality' shows. I just learned that Survivor is approaching the 20-year mark. Ugh.)
